Anyone getting on this? It's gone up £15 since I last looked...

Birmingham-Dusseldorf (Weeze) Return with Ryanair

Monday August 02 -Friday August 06

Good flight times, too ... £40

check distance from weeze to centre before booking

I've done this trip twice already. Hourly train service (via bus link outside terminal). Train takes approx 1 hour. Public transport is free to people attending football matches who can show their match ticket to an inspector. We used our match ticket on both outgoing and incoming trains. Even though the match date was sandwiched in between the two trips.

The easiest option (for people ok to travel tues night) is to get down to luton and fly straight to dortmund, watch the game, have a grand old time with beers and big sausages (for the bi-curious ones out there) after the game! Its the cheapest option and less hassle. Cant be arsed catching trains and buses when in germany. would rather catch them here and then no hassle there

There is no hassle in getting public transport in Germany. It runs like clockwork

Good info impeccable.
Not done it meself so only know it's miles out of where you think it's gonna be but didn't want you to get an ubexpected surprise on landing.
Have a great time out there.

some 45-50 minutes by train from Düsseldorf to Dortmund

-- Wed Jun 16, 2010 8:37 pm --

by the way: Dortmund club management today announced, the use of Vuvuzelas will not be allowed in Dortmund stadium ;-)

Don't know if it has been covered in this thread but it looks like we will be playing a pre-season game in Germany every year according to ferrostaal's website.
