Our last 2 German forays:

The train back to Dusseldorf from Gelsenkirchen was 1/2 an hour late and standing room only

The train from Hamburg to Bremen at 8am on Good Friday was standing room only.

No different to here ;-(

yeah, its included. You can use every train, tram... from the VRR (no use for IC and ICE trains)

Mine from the airport to dusseldorf broke down!

Luckily there was an english chap with no clue about the game who translated everything.
