why ? didnt we just buy pozo and dont we have any locals to come in

Few Mancs will have the chance to play for city. Perhaps one per generation.

Unfortunately, that may be true in the future. City's academy is going to be a global one, and looks like every effort is being made to make it a profit center...It's going to be very difficult for talented players to get in our team..

sad fact of the game these days we could really do with a gerrard type player at city. They seem like good prospects, but what realistic chance have they actually got of ever making it into the first team, unless there on a par with rooney or kompany at that age then they wont make it

Only George Evans of the local boys in our youth setup looks like he could get close to the first team at the moment - promoted to the reserves having barely turned 17, similar path to Suarez and Rekik.

Future City captain? In an ideal world but wouldn't cross my fingers.

Some would say Bunn but Guidetti is miles ahead of him and only half a year older so I don't like Harry's chances. Guidetti chased by Real, Bayern, Inter, AC Milan, Arsenal, Rubin... Bunn chased by Preston, Oldham... world's apart.

Manchester City are ready to snap up top Dutch starlet Riechedly Bazoer - rated the best teenage centre half in Holland.

City have beaten off Europe's leading clubs in the race for the PSV Eindhoven kid, who is set to join them when he turns 16 in October.

?

But anyway, a good signing to put with Rekik and Suarez. Hopefully stars of the future.

If this story is true, we are certainly bringing in some good talent at the moment and building for the future..................

It's not a 'sad fact' that you have to be top quality to play for City, it's about bloody time!

If English/local kids in the future have the talent, they will get the opportunity to show it. If they're not good enough, I don't want them. We've seen enough mediocre home grown kids at City, it's time we started producing more actual talent.

Agreed, hopefully the new academy will help solve the local lad problem, if you can really call it a problem

Personally I can't say that I'm particularly dismayed that we're snapping up the best young talent from around the world

Hope Evans makes it as he's my mate and he's also a blue like all of us
