Enjoyed the 'nited fans singing ironically after the 4th, the sort of thing we used to do when we knew it was f**king hopeless, and we thought we might as well make the day better by having a good laugh, its the first time I can remember them doing that, normally they just f**k off home if it gets bad.

Top day.

That's exactly what I thought. I looked over a minute or so after the 4th went in and was expecting to see them leaving in droves. In fact, most of them stayed to the end.

I suppose the ones who come to a derby at our place are their hard core - apart from 17 year old MIBs obviously - but I thought that when it was 4-0 the 3,000 of them made a lot more noise than the 30,000 left at the swamp during the 6-1
united's away support is always pretty good tbf.

It was reminiscent of us, as supporters, when we were shit. The way the game played out on the pitch was also like yesteryear in reverse. united totally outplayed; a couple of shots in ninety minutes on target and their best hope for a goal coming from a set-piece.

I wonder if they still sing "let's all laugh at City" at old trafford?

not locked in then ?

Asked this yesterday but didn't see a reply....

What was the song the vermin were singing for most of second half? Sounded like something with "Merseyside" or "Fergie's side" in it?

Absolutely brilliant day yesterday (and today for that matter). Fully deserved win for the team that has been the better in the last 6 derbygames, no matter the results. After 4-0 we let them play a bit. It was hard to keep focussed with everyone in the stadium partying. We showed what we are able to do.
Too early to say this is the Pellegrini-effect in full swing. It will become even better and that's another fantastic thought. We need to get rid of the inconsistency, especially in away games. But I expect us to keep improving over the next 2 or 3 months. What HAS improved is the teamspirit and some players on an individual basis.
I won't state United are a one-man team, because in that context so are we. We are a different team without Kompany, another aspect that needs considdering and proves why Pellegrini wanted Pepe so much.
As for Kolarov, name me one left or right back that can defend as well as he can go foreward or hands in a cross the way Kolarov can. Yes, they are rare, so stop moaning about the defending abillities of the player. Pellegrini needs to sort that out tactically and than it simply won't matter. With the way Pellegrini wants his teams to play the things Kolarov is good at are far more important.
No back to enjoying my day.

Well well what a truly wonderful day today has been on two fronts.

1. Today we saw the phoenix rise from the flames, in grand style. I really don't know what else I can add, to what everybody else has said, other than in my 30 years of watching City the 1-6 was the best performance I'd ever seen, but this today was the best 60 mins of power, pace, pressure, passing and pure artistry I've ever seen.

2. My eldest girl (8) has today finally come of age to become a true City fan. She has followed City in her own way for the last couple of years, she has been twice, got the kits, books, pencil case and ball, but never really understood the supporter concept (understandable as she's only 8). All that changed starting yesterday, when she said one direction are playing at City, I asked if she would like to go, her reply was "no because they are rubbish and should play at United because they're rubbish", then today she said to me "dad WE'VE done it WE'VE hammered United", so I gave her a great big cuddle and told her to enjoy this moment because they will last in your memory forever.

Thank you City for producing such a wonderful performance and for helping my daughter to become part of the new blue family.

Finally I've had great pleasure in singing "oh raggies don't cry", to the tune of Bob Marley's "no woman no cry".

That is magnificent. Thank-you.

Point 2 is fucking mint. My little un is nearly 3 and is starting to understand it to. Top buzzes with her yesterday watching the highlights. Priceless.

Stunning performance from the whole team. Can't believe I was so nervous before..what do I know!

Thought Vinny was magnificant..love the picture doing the rounds.

Another thing I noticed was the lack of Davey on the touchline the last 30 mins...hiding, didn't know what to do, defeated, conceeded!!!

Kolarov had a superb game yesterday - for me their only threat was Valencia hooking balls into the near post -
where was he? chasing Kolarov all the game!
For me Pellegrini has had an important influence on players I had doubts about - Sami and Edin and Alex - what a change
they are important players now and will get even better

What else can I really add to this?

Simply a top day, was a bit glum to leave family again and come back down South to work but that result made the trip back much easier to handle. There were some Brummie rags on the train back, spouting shit about the council house as well as some other socially debatable remarks, loads of ignorance about people with 'slanty eyes' and saying how Asians ruined gambling. He was having the discussion with an Asian bloke too, I honestly didn't believe idiots existed like that except on Jeremy Kyle.
