The first line "In years to come, the 166th Manchester derby could go down as the day English football died."

Always nice to start the day with a good chuckle, thanks for that.

The posession stats are heavily skewed by us going up 4-0 so quickly. I don't think anyone expected us to knock those 2 in as soon as the second half started, the opposite really. I thought they would come steaming out of the blocks, but it was all much of the same. We carried on where we left off and they were shell shocked. I'm surprised it was't closer to 50/50 on the balance of play, but we did surrender the ball a lot in the last 35 minutes. Pretty good example of how possession as a sole stat is useless though.

Acknowledged the same yesterday after we'd destroyed them. It was no coincidence that we bettered them when they had so many English 'internationals' in their eleven. We've been the better side in the last five league derbies and our style of football is hard for English players to adapt to let alone compete against. Barry was dispensed with, Lescott marginalised, and Milner will probably be next, though his grit, discipline, and engine make him valuable at present. It's a global game and global market and I think there will be more foreigners in the United line up when next we meet.

But no fooker wants to sign for them. Foreign players are not arsed about history, they want trophies.thats why the rags have English players because they get sucked into the history bollocks. Times are changing.

True, but I suspect Moyes thought he could fashion an Everton-like performance from a side packed with Englishmen yesterday and leave with a point. However, he's been bequeathed a mediocre side and without Jones they lack muscle and drive and without Kagawa and RVP they lack intelligence. Happy days.

The same on ssn.

They had a lot of possession when the game was won and we let them have it.

Just found out that a blue walking home (no colours on) with his wife (with a city shirt on), was attacked by a gang of reds - had his jaw broken in 3 places. happened in failsworth after the match. Still can't believe how moronic people can be

In cricket terms, we declared at 4-0.

United fan page just popped up on my timeline thing.

One word to describe Ashley Young.
