City - United Post Match Thread

The free kick apart, I thought Rooney was pretty terrible.

Kompany absolutely owned him. He missed a real sitter of a chance, dropped too deep at times and played quite a few mis-placed passes.

Granted, there were worse performers for the rags on the day (Camel Gob especially) but to say he was the best player on the pitch is fucking deluded, even for rag standards.

The same on ssn.

well they should be glad Hart Richards Lesscot Barry and Milner didn't start as it might have been 6-1 like last time, fxxk off Ashton i couldn't give a shit about England really, years of watching average united players get picked and its still happening now, how can a man (wellbeck) score 1 goal in a season and get selected for England ? can anyone tel me of this ever happening before ? i watch England twice every 4 years if we get there i watch City every week

Acknowledged the same yesterday after we'd destroyed them. It was no coincidence that we bettered them when they had so many English 'internationals' in their eleven. We've been the better side in the last five league derbies and our style of football is hard for English players to adapt to let alone compete against. Barry was dispensed with, Lescott marginalised, and Milner will probably be next, though his grit, discipline, and engine make him valuable at present. It's a global game and global market and I think there will be more foreigners in the United line up when next we meet.

watched the whole match back and everyone was immense,i wont go through them all but special mention for nasri,i have had a go at his attitude before now but he was brilliant

Shows how misleading stats are. Fact is that they were scewed (sp!? is it even a word - you know what I mean!!) significantly by the fact that we had buried them within the hour. We then took our foot off the pedal whilst they had to up their game to avoid a record score.

The stats were only relevant up to the 4th goal. Even neville said something like 'from start to finish, err I mean start to 58 minutes in' at one point!

The game was up! Nothing left to see!
