Remind them of that when Arsenal finish behind City at the end on this season.

The thing is, Arsenal fans will never let this go.

5 years ago they coudn't give a shit about City. 6 easy points on and off the pitch every season since they could remember.

Then Sheikh Mansour turned up and bought 3 of their players for £54mill, which Stan and his Arsenal Board were happy to take.

Not to mention winning the FA Cup, PL Title, and taking their automatic place in this seasons CL., while Arsenal had won nothing for 8 years.

As a rule, I don't believe Arsenal fans hate City. They just hate -- DESPISE, in fact -- ex-Arsenal players. Those that dare to leave the Emirates for more money or -- God forbid -- an actual trophy instead of a made-up one are branded traitors, regularly and forever. Arsenal fans take just as much delight, if not more, in slagging off ex-players versus supporting whomever's on their current squad.

The only exception to this rule I can think of is Thierry Henry.
 
I only saw the first half, I thought we pretty much outplayed them, should have scored at least 3, amid some dirty tackling (mostly unpunished), and a shite referee who even the arsenal co-commentator admitted was on their side with most decisions. At that point I went out, better things to do on a summers afternoon.

A "friendly" that wasn't so in the first half, but a good work out.

I don't see any great changes from Mancini's team to be honest, and slightly worried we can't take enough chances to make a game easy (the biggest none change from last year). Same players flattering to deceive for me.

Generally though I'm not that concerned.
 
Our defensive line is 12-15 metres higher than last season , which allied to slow turning centrebacks and a lack of pressure on the ball is a recipe for disaster . There is loads of space in behind our defence which leaves us vulnerable to a route one hoof over the top ala AC Milan goals or cute diagonal through balls which Arsenal picked us off with today .

AVB tried this high-line at Chelsea and it got him sacked . Vinny and Lescott are suited to facing play not turning and chasing . We are going to get caught out a lot by hit and hope balls unless this is sorted .

Oh and we still look clueless against a packed defence as our crossing is very poor .

Agree about this tbh, this high line might bring similar problems as Mancini's 3 at the back did on the beginning of the last season.
 
I was pleased with the result until I considered that:

1) you are bedding in new signings - we aren't
2) we have to play a CL qualifier which would suggest our team is further down the line in terms of being match ready
3) City tore us a new one until Feo scored on the break - massive difference to the anti-football Mancini always played against us
4) 95% of the crowd appeared to be Finnish Arsenal fans
5) the ref didn't seem entirely oblivious to the fact the organisers and crowd preferred an AFC win over an evil oil money victory
6) friendly football is shit
