Whilst it was a friendly the season kicks off now no more preparation always nice to end on a win
There's a full week of training left as preparation. The last week is usually the most intense stage of pre-season. Lots of preparation time within that.

Having had the best defnce in the prem last season there is some work to be done.
Barry may be the slowest on the pitch now but FFS his brain is one of the fastest.
City would do well to keep him for many prem. Matches
Left side of defence is a worry .For me Lescott is not working well and Boyata would be better until Nasty is back.
Get Willian too we will need another tricky player cos a lot of prem teams will park the bus against us and it'll be hard to open teams up despite Navas ' s speed down the line.
AGuero is crucial for a good start too

The midfield is pretty decent in my opinion, but the chance creation for the quality we have at our disposal was absolutely shocking today.

We really need to start creating more chances, being more incisive and just simply taking more shots at goal.

Defence needs massive work as well.
In other words nothing much has changed. You can also add some real competition for hart who seems to think he's untouchable.

Nothing wrong with our 2 centre backs its the offside trap we trying to install in the back 4 and the no pressure on the ball also letting runners run through us

Just in case you are not following

1. It was a pre-season friendly
2. We were the better side
3. It was a pre-season friendly
4. Some missed opportunities in front of goal
5. It was a pre-season friendly
6. A couple of lapses in defence
7. It was a pre-season friendly
8. A few misplaced passes in midfield
9. It was a pre-season friendly

City are building towards next week the intensity will be up by 50% then we will see

There wasn't really much wrong with the performance. Arsenal were extremely potent, I'd be afraid of them if they had more than about 13 players in their squad.
Apart from some awful defending (Lescott, Clichy?!), there was not really a player who played that badly, Nasri and Navas could have had a little more impact perhaps.
You look at the chances created that weren't finished as a problem, but a good deal of those ricocheted around the box bouncing around between Arsenal defenders, they were lucky not to bounce to a City player.
But it was just a friendly. And I think it bodes well for a good, perhaps nail-biting season.

Indeed
high lines only work if you dont give the opposition time on the ball.

The balance of the support in the ground shows us how far we have to go. Arsenal have been shite for years, but the ground seemed full of Arsenal fans. Can't think they've travelled, so assume they are local.

As for the game - irrelevant in every sense. The result is to be ignored, much the same as if we'd won. Pre season knock about, no more, no less.
