CITY v Arsenal - Official Match Thread

Im afraid my fellow gooner has copy and pasted that lineup from skysports

Their is no way that walcott who's played 20 minuted after being injured for a month is going to start and no way in form samir nasri is going to be dropped

Well our midfield is scoring goals

Arshavin has 5
Nasri has 6
Cesc has 4 in 6 games
Walcott has 4 in 4 games of which 2 were sub

And Chamakh has started well scoring 6

It's up to us keeping our defence and we can nick this

i think we will both get out chances and will just come down to who is sharper on the day.

hope its a good game, i enjoy watching arsenal, good football... of course i hope we win tho hehe

We need to play this game exactly the same way as the Chelsea game. The week after we bullied and battered Chelsea they went and did the same to Arsenal. If we go 4-4-2 and try to play football they will dick us big time. We need to use the power of the side to win this one. If we go 4-5-1 I can see us winning 2-0 or 3-1. If we go 4-4-2 we could end up getting turned over by 2 or 3.

there is no way bob is going anything like expansive, he will set out to win the midfield battle with 5 across, retaining possesion is vital against the gooners, restricting their passing game should hopefully get us a win.
doesn't sound exciting but needs must.

Hello Chaps

I'm here from the onlinegooner site, supporting the other lot playing at Eastlands tomorrow.

Not here to troll on another club's forum (can't understand people who do that, they seem to have a lot of time on their hands and United fans seem to be the worst culprits on our site)

I've penned this tribute to the late great playboy himself, who's passing I believe is going to be honoured tomorrow.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.onlinegooner.com/exclusive/index.php?id=1917" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.onlinegooner.com/exclusive/index.php?id=1917</a>

Just requesting a response from a City point of view.

And of course may the best team win tomorrow (and of course I hope the best team is wearing Red and White!)

well-written piece, fella.

Milner & Barry will definitely play, otherwise they would have featured on Thursday.

Mancini took Silva off as soon as the game was won on Thursday, left Adebayor & Johnson on for the full 90mins. That strongly suggests to me that Silva will start, Adebayor & johnson will be on the bench.
