City v Arsenal post match discussion

The most worrying part is theres no improvement from last season:

Last season: This season:
Promoted team(H) w (4-0) 3pts w (3-2) 3pts
Liverpool(A) d (1-1) 1pt d (2-2) 1pt
QPR(H) w (3-2) 3pts w (3-1) 3pts
Stoke(A) d (1-1) 1pt d (1-1) 1pt
Arsenal(H) w (1-0) 3pts d (1-1) 1pt

Yaya's inexplicable hesitation at 1-0, when a simple pass to Aguero was all that was needed was sickening.

Summed up the whole team performance.

All your whinging in here please

Need a bit of a rant after that one.

I haven't been as disappointed in a City match since Forest in the FA Cup years ago. I thought Mancini got his tactics wrong in the first half and I thought he got his Dzeko for Tevez sub completely wrong. Tevez was fucking diabolical when he came on, outside of a small run 30 seconds after he entered, he walked around the pitch. The reason they scored off that corner was because Tevez watched a man go past him.

I can't believe how often we gave the ball away from unpressured positions. Yaya was poor in this respect, but so was Silva, Hart and Zab. Lescott made mistake after mistake and hasn't looked solid since just before Arsenal away last year. And I love JL, he's one of my favourite playes, but his form is bad. Top PL defenders shouldn't be getting done down the wings in that manner.

We couldn't keep the ball so invited pressure onto ourselves.

On the positive side, Sinclair played well and was an unfortunate victim of Mancini's mistake. Looked energetic and a bright spark. Dzeko continued his good run of form. I've accepted that he's just going to give the ball away often now, so if you look past that he had a good game.
Kompany looked strong. Rodwell did exceptionally well when he came on and I believe that we have a rough diamond in Javi Garcia who could well become one of the best in the world given the right development. I thought Clichy did pretty well too under difficult circumstances.

But mostly I'm consumed with annoyance at how easy we gave the ball away. This has got to fucking stop.

What the majority of you are missing here is that Arsenal are much better than last season and will be there or thereabouts.

We only just beat them last season at home in the prem and were beaten at their gaff.

We were never going to roll them over, as we weren't going to roll Madrid over just like that.

A point against Arsenal in their current form is fine in my opinion.

Stop shitting yourselves you bunch of fannies.

You still think Garcia is the answer?

It's really amazing the difference one sub can make....

1st half - Rodwell for Sinclair = we had Arsenal by their nuts for 20 minutes afterwards.

2nd half - Tevez for Dzeko = no hold up play, no physical presence up front = Arsenal owned us for last 20 minutes.

Sorry lads - this game is all on Roberto.
He is stubborn with some of his attitudes, and will not adjust - and I am starting to have doubts about his ability to take such a GREAT team forward.

Irony.

Ok - can YOU reason out some of the decisions quite FREQUENTLY made by him which lately have been costing us points? Strange starting line ups, shuffling things all over the place, "rotation" where it is not really neccessary...should I go on?

Shocking performance again, not played well for a full 90 minutes since last christmas. I don't know what has happened to our defence but they need to sort their heads out fast.

Massive and daft exaggeration.

too many not playing well,Yaya Silva Garcia Sinclair Aguero very average.Dzeko best player onthe pitch gets taken off.

It wasn't until I think Sunderland last season that we dropped points at home. Worrying early signs. We don't have the flair and verve that were our trademark for long periods of last season. Game passed Garcia by. I know it's early doors, but Chelsea already 4 points ahead.

Seriously, don't start with your fucking shit, I'm absolutely not in the mood for it.
