City v Arsenal post match discussion

Mancini prowess in the transfer market gets worse by the minute. Garcia is is so slow he makes Barry look pacy. Of course by the time Bobby gives in to this the harm will have been done. Barry and De Jong > Garcia and Rodwell. Don't get me started on sinclair. Arsenal have strenghtened we have weakened. The question is why? We are been overrun in midfield and our possession is way down. Does anyone actually watch these players before we buy them. It's not fucking hard to work out whether you have pace or not.

FFS, Mancini wanted De Rossi, Martinez etc. City werent prepared to pay enough money.

Got a worrying feeling if we don't start getting our act together we will struggle to win anything.

We have been so poor overall this season, I don't know if it is the players or Mancini. It is probably a bit of both.

It's really amazing the difference one sub can make....

1st half - Rodwell for Sinclair = we had Arsenal by their nuts for 20 minutes afterwards.

2nd half - Tevez for Dzeko = no hold up play, no physical presence up front = Arsenal owned us for last 20 minutes.

Sorry lads - this game is all on Roberto.
He is stubborn with some of his attitudes, and will not adjust - and I am starting to have doubts about his ability to take such a GREAT team forward.

Irony.

I don't agree.

Bobby isn't responsible for the shocking way we repeatedly gave the ball away for the 20 mins leading to their goal.
At one point Silva seemed to try to pass to HIMSELF and failed!!
Non of that was bobbys fault.

Agree - he is not responsible for players playing poorly.
He IS responsible for recognizing WHO is playing poorly (in your example Silva) and making the right calls - which he often doesnt do, cause to me it seems his substitutions are predetermined.

Sorry mate, but I am nominating this for the Kneejerk Post-Match Comment of the Day award.

Take a bow.

We should win it. And I dont blame the defence, escott couldnt really head it anywhere else someone should block that Koscielny attempt.

But I blame our attacking game, WTF they were doing? Many good runs, chances but the final pass always missed. Silva/Yaya did it 3-4 times. Agüero also not in the best form wouldnt start him at all. I would start Dzeko-Tevez then Agüero coming in in 65. minute.

From 1-0 up and having the ball we turned it into a 1-1.

For last years home record now we have to win all home games in the season.
If we dont do that we wont win the league as at away matcheswe hardly will improve look at the Stoke/Pool away matches we cannot win matches like that and it will be the same at Everton/Sunderland/Fulham tricky away matches=we wont win...
And also MU/Spurs way matches wont be 5-1 and 6-1 either like last year.

We should win today, we missed it, it can cost us.

We should finish it with 2-0 they would never come back from that.

Btw Sinclair got subbed and then Rodwell played as a winger? He spent a lot of time on the right side.

So strange sub, it wasnt like Yaya goes higher Rodwell deep next to Garcia. But while Rodwell gave nothing in attacks he probably only stopped Gibbs from going forward.

We had some good counter chances Sinclair's pace could come handy. But probably we would never find him with a good pass anyway today.

If we dont improve in certain fixtures compared to last year we should win at least the ones we could win last year. Now we are basically two points behind compared to last season.

What the majority of you are missing here is that Arsenal are much better than last season and will be there or thereabouts.

We only just beat them last season at home in the prem and were beaten at their gaff.

We were never going to roll them over, as we weren't going to roll Madrid over just like that.

A point against Arsenal in their current form is fine in my opinion.

Stop shitting yourselves you bunch of fannies.

You still think Garcia is the answer?

I've never said he was. WTF are you on about?

Ok - can YOU reason out some of the decisions quite FREQUENTLY made by him which lately have been costing us points? Strange starting line ups, shuffling things all over the place, "rotation" where it is not really neccessary...should I go on?

I like Dzeko as much as any City fan but the only problem you have is Dzeko isn't getting the full 90 minutes so stop pretending you care about the club when all you care about is Dzeko.

Needs Nasri ASAP!

Only player who can consistently contribute to positive passing in the final third, while still having the ability to create something out of nothing. Silva gives it away SO much!!
