City v Boro post match

I think there's been far too much chat by the players after every good result. Pep is this. Pep is that . They need to realise that while they are indeed lucky to have a manager like him they are the ones who have to get the job done .

You sound like a 4 year old ps don't report me
I think stringing a couple of words together in a coherent way says more than 4 your arrogant comment smacks of a person who would struggle with that. question, why do you see the need to reply to a post that wasn't referring to you? are you his big brother ?

Looked okay at the interval and the general consensus was that Boro would tire in the 2nd half.
Fair play to them, because it was us who started to look lacklustre, slow and jaded, as they grew in confidence.

All our match winners seemed a yard off the pace. Nobody was busting a gut to get in the middle, so when crossing the ball, Navas was frequently facing Aguero and 6 defenders.

Also, what the fuck is happening with Kompany and this strange rehabilitation period?
Are we just waiting for him to get injured for Belgium next week

I'm loving the juxtaposition of the word 'coherent' with the conspicuous absence of a full stop after '4'. Nice work fellah.

Agree with most of that but I think the second half was more about us and some of us are overlooking what the Barca game will have taken out of the players. You don't control the tempo with 29% possession(and only 44% of that was in our final 3rd) we made changes at the end of the game and they capitalized on a few weaknesses that happen when you shift players about late on in a game... they didn't really deserve it they had 3 shots on target the whole game but fair play to them for staying in the game and not caving under all that pressure for the majority of the match.

I disagree that you can't control the tempo with minority possession or perhaps a better phrase would have been 'heavily influenced the tempo'. If you press us, like 'Boro did, then it still forces us to play at a pace we were uncomfortable with. We wanted to stroll and they wanted higher tempo, and caused it (imo). Whenever we did give the ball away, they were poised to play long ball and get in behind us. They squandered a handful of good breaks as a result of not being a clinical counter attacking team, but in the end, they managed to complete the job and grab a goal.

Depends on what you call 'deserve'. Obviously, we're the better footballing side, and had the lion's share of possession and chances, but at the same time, they defended pretty well, and Valdes made a great save. They almost lobbed Bravo too - which was definitely going it had Bravo not scrambled back successfully. If I were managing 'Boro, I'd say they deserved a point based on their resilience and talking that final chance when it came - but it's a moot point really.

Well that's bullshit for a start
OK insert the word "decent" then. He's a weak link in this side, and has been for 18 months imho. As a forward player, in an attacking team he adds little, not even the odd goal.

Anyway back to the whole game, I don't get why people are happy that we've now dropped 6 points in our last 3 home games, and in each one it's the same 2 reasons, don't take numerous chances, and concede a f**king stupid goal.

It's no good keep saying it'll all be alright eventually, because it's costing us points, valuable points.
