City v Boro post match

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm almost certain you were predicting Pellegrini would win the league at this stage last season?

I did and i called it wrong.

What that has got to do with anything im not sure other than you point scoring, however, its my opinion that as a team we have improved dramatically and that under Pep and the plan, it will only get better.

Four parked buses at the Etihad this season in the Prem and we've been held to 3 x 1-1 draws and needed a last minute own goal to see off Everton. Mentally and physically weak and it's an enduring problem. Taking off Navas today was a mistake as well. He was keeping Friend pinned back. We ain't winning fuck all until we learn how to overcome this tedious tactic

First half we totally dominated and played some wonderful football but didn't take our chances (bar the solitary goal).
Second half, 'Boro came out believing there was something in it for them, and pressed us very well. They resorted to long ball knowing full our high line would give them chances. They also quickly sussed that they had more success in the air than on the ground.

Ultimately, they controlled the tempo in the second half and they probably deserved the point (or at least made the most of their game plan and nicked a great point). Lousy result for us mind.

Many will say it's not the end of the world, and results like that can happen. They'd be right.
It's also fair to say that a PL winning team can only sustain a handful of such results and we've already had two in Everton and 'Boro. We've yet to face LIverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea - so we've got our work cut out.

'Boro support was very good.

Extremely well balanced post.

Today showed our lack of firepower up front. You won't win the league with Aguero and Kelechi as your forward line in the long run as there will be many more games like that. Gabirel Jesus cannot come quick enough.
