City v Boro post match

Silva needs to be rotated more, holds on to the ball to long these days and slows the play down to much
Can't understand why Silva and others will not run directly at players into the box. Take them on, make them tackle , get a penalty or a rebound. Basically mix it up.Instead, defenders know pretty much what we are going to do. Plus, twenty odd shots, few on target, one goal, is terrible. Why Fern can no longer hit the target I don't know nor why he continues to give the ball way so easily. Our corners went by , their first one caused chaos and our play was pretty much chaotic from that point.

Last 3 home prem games, with the ball, we have played like last year's team under Pelli.

Corners are a complete waste of time for us. We should go short every time.

It would automatically take two of the opposition out of the box as well. However, it needs to be done much more quickly than is currently the case. Normally, someone is waiting to take it and has to wait while another one ambles over, has a chat about heaven knows what, and then they take it.

Last minute goals are a killer. We had lots of chances for 2 and 3 nil. After barca there was always gonna be a dip in performance. Not fussed in the slightest. A point off top and sitting pretty in the champions league. Anybody who wants to be a mary ellen and have a meltdown aren't the real deal. Nice little 2 week break coming up, recharge the batteries and away we go. I fuckin love this club like life.
Nicely put

Corners???

When we win a throw in, I pray the City player it is being thrown towards (on those occasions where it is actually thrown towards a City player!!) simply knocks it out of touch! We are FAR more productive from opposition throw ins than our own!!!

And, whoever was slagging off Fernandinho earlier, GMAFB!!! He is already Top Three in the POTY standings, and will be all season!

A bit surprised that people are dignifying that post by bothering to reply to it, frankly. Don't waste finger muscle effort, people.

Need a tall striker and 2 new fullbacks

Completely agree mate!;)....my only question is: Why didnt we sort that "fullback" need in the summer? All we need to do is look back at old Bluemoon threads to see we have been crying out for 2 or 3 new fullbacks for a few years....Lots of positive things to say about the direction of the team and very exciting times ahead so dont want to come across negative but do believe this is poor planning and its going to cost us this season....

After the Lord Mayor's show...

That almost felt like a defeat, having the victory snatched away so late in the game.

Once again, we paid the price for not converting our chances.

MotM? Merlin.

Actually Navas for me but yes David was his boringly solid self again.

Although his cross that gave Aguero a fantastic chance in the second half and whilst he was on the pitch, their goal providing left back didn't get over the half way line.
He also laid on one for Sergio in the 1st half which wasn't converted. The lad was very good yesterday.

Are we any further forward than last season ?
Worse off I in the league ,not played a top 4 team bar spurs.
About the same in the chams league
Out the cap one cup
No nearer to getting a settled first choice back four
No settled position for our midfielder s
And gone with a style of play that if the forwards don't press the keeper we struggle with
No pace and desire besides barca and wba
Are we much better off than this time last season ?
