City v Boro - Pre Match Thread

I think at some point this season we will grab a 6-0, 7-0, 8-0 win. Will it be today? Probably not. They're good defensively and we'll be tired. However, we still have the quality to win this one.

I have the feeling someone unusual will score today. One of the defenders, or Fernando. Maybe even Navas. Last two times I've said this, Demichelis and Clichy have scored.
Come on now, keep it realistic.

Could be a tricky one this, they deserved to win at Arsenal a few weeks ago. If there's a Euro hangover it could be a real problem. I reckon the Barca result might galvanise us more than anything though.

3 points will do. They'll come and play just to frustrate. There'll be lots of time wasting, lots of niggling tackles to try and wind our players up. Keeper will take his time retrieving the ball for goal kicks - guaranteed he'll get the ball, then pick the longest way around the goals, then walk to the opposite side of the goal to take the kick, oh and not forgetting the tapping of the studs on the goalposts before taking the kick. Throw ins will be interminable, as the first player to pick up the ball won't take it, they'll try and steal around 5 to 10 years at every opportunity. The ref will do the following:

1. Point at his watch to tell them their time wasting is being monitored, then add on one minute at the end of the first half and 3 minutes at the end of the match.
2. He'll speak to their players to warn them to speed up play at goal kicks, free kicks and throw ins - but take absolutely no action, and it will be lost on him that he's actually wasting more time by talking to them.
3. He'll eventually book someone in the 90th minute for time wasting.

Mind you, we can stop all that if we score early....

As always we will know within the first few mins which city has turned up,boro drew at arses and beat everton, take them lightly at our peril

Yeah, worried it might all be a bit after the lord mayors show and we might need to fall behind to galvanise us. Need the crowd at it from the beginning and as many fresh players as poss - likes of Sane, Nolito, Iheanacho etc

Completely agree with those 3 points.
