City v Bournemouth post match

Is it just me or was Mendy weighing in to help out a guy being restrained by stewards and police ?

We will undoubtedly get better given new players still settling. But the aggression on here to posters who are just being honest when they say we aren't looking great is unreal. It was a great 3 pts but let's also remember it was Bournemouth we struggled to beat and at times we looked vulnerable. Posters saying we look like champions after Everton and today are wishful thinking. We will need to show significantly more against the top sides. Glad Pep had a pop at the refs. Jonny Evans is certainly not what we need pace at cb is. We need a powerhouse in cm for me as well. A lot is being asked if dinho.

Overall how the game panned out, A draw would have been a fair result in my opinion
We had twice the possession and twice the amount of shots both on and off target. We battered and were in control for virtually the whole game.

I think we got out of jail to be honest. We had a 25 minutes spell in the 1st half where we looked really good and Bournemouth looked like they were really struggling to cope with us. I thought the 2nd half would be more of the same but it wasn't.

They scored a wonder goal but had another chance (Defoe) to go 2 up before we got our equaliser and started to look dangerous.

Both sides hit the post.

Overall how the game panned out, A draw would have been a fair result in my opinion but had the ref done his job and sent Ake off, like the rules say, then you'd have thought it would have been a far more comfortable afternoon.

Thought sterling had a poor game but hopefully his two goals that have earned us 4 points will give him a boost in confidence because there's a top player in him.

There's a lot more to come from this team. Last season we started like a steam train, playing well and we all got giddy. I'm happy thinking that there's so much more to come from this squad and hopefully getting into full flow throughout the winter months.

3 points is 3 points and I'll be a happy drunk tonight
A draw wouldnt have been a fair result at all , v 9 men , we also had numerous chances to wrap the game up , 70% possession , 20 attempts 8 on target , 3 points the correct result

The football between 15-45 in the first half was amazing.

One thing that bothers me is that we are struggling to score without the opposition keeper making too many saves (out of the expected). I don't think we should be blaming Aguero/Jesus for all of it, feel we lack a lot in terms of the final pass.

Loved the pitch invasion, when we scored. Served them right for hacking and time wasting. If we did that we would be down to 8 in a heartbeat. The comical officiating needs addressing. Be consistent is all we are asking for. Defoe should have seen a red as well as the 'tackle' on Jesus in the corner.
