City v Bristol City 1st leg post match

It's amazing how good some people think Gundogan still is. His last injury has ruined him. He produces flashes, but nothing sustained. We need more from our go-to cover midfielder.

Aguero match winner. Mangala, Yaya and Bravo should not start for us anymore. Manga is terrible, Tosin is much better. Claudio was average and looked like a liability. Started the action for our 1st but other than that looked nervous and Ederson would of cut much more moves out. Yaya is finished.

To be honest if the defence and forwards had done their jobs properly we would have won that game 4/5.

Still a wins a win and we will go through.

Mangala was fucking hideous and Stones has made a couple of sloppy errors last two games. He needs to cut that out.

De Bruyne was MOM, Sterling should have scored but played well and I thought Zinchenko did ok again. Other than that no one excelled. All others average to hideous.

Credit to Bristol though. I thought they did well and their fans backed them well too

It must drive Pep crazy to watch so much domination with so little end product. Sane had his full back on toast but Navas would have been embarrassed at his delivery into the box. Sterling similarly looked like he was playing with a beach ball at key moments. Behind them only KDB oozed quality and any inclination of where the goal was because B Silva and Gundogan take so man touches and lack the physicality to burst through or deliver a meaningful shot.

I'm just glad the match is over because the way the match thread looked you'd think we're a team battling relegation.

We've played 33 matches this season, won 30 of them, drawn 2, and lost 1 with our reserves. We're going to have a few blips where we're not completely dominant in a match, luckily for us that hasn't resulted in any losses yet.

Other than Mangala and Toure, who we know are off at the end of the season, I'm not going to sit here and claim that x,y, and z need to improve or we should sell them because of an off night. I saw posters say we should sell Danilo, Gundogan, and Bernardo in the match thread. Maybe next time just enjoy the match without typing out everything that crosses your mind, eh?

Anywho, MOTM was Kev by some distance. Thought Zinchenko had his best game of the season for us and while they couldn't produce the final ball to get us to score, Sterling and Sane were dangerous throughout. Walker was some much needed injected energy and Aguero doing what Aguero does.

Big match this weekend, let's get ready for the toughest game we have left in the league. We've got a foot in the final.

Bristol are no mugs. A young team with a young manager and they did themselves proud. They took us all the way and the 2nd leg will be a belter. It's all about winning and winning ugly and that's all that matters in this present run of games.
No knee jerks, no skriking like a Mary Ellen, it's another one chalked off the list.
Roll on Sunday.

Because real football isn’t like FIFA?

You don't need a fucking computer game to expect the unbeaten league leaders, with the world's best manager and 2 or 3 of the world's top players, who can dick teams like Spurs, should destroy a lower division side.

Hugely disappointing tonight when we could have made the second leg so easy and given our first teamers a rest for league matches. Not good enough tonight.

Breath of fresh air watching a team come and play football at our place - think only Napoli and Shatkar have done better...the MCFC of the championship...Mangala wouldn’t get anywhere near their side and pep should put a 5 mile restraining order on him around the Etihad.
