City v Bristol City 1st leg post match

Says it all when no list of players are the same when it comes to bad performances....

We were poor but if we finished half the chances we created it could have been 4 or 5 and then no would be digging anyone out...

It was just one of those games but hey we won that's all that matters and I'm quite sure we won't play as poorly collectively again this season

Yup, about sums it up. Bravo and Mangala were the root cause of most of our problems. Mangala in particular was tragically inept, just as he was against Wolves. I needed a fucking toilet roll every time the ball went near him. Distinctly unimpressed with Danilo and Leroy as well. Gundogan and Bernardo looked a powder puff combo too. Kev and Raheem (and Kyle when he came on) were the only ones who looked like they could hurt Bristol tonight, but with better decision making on the counter we could still have hit them for 4 or 5

To be honest if the defence and forwards had done their jobs properly we would have won that game 4/5.

Still a wins a win and we will go through.

Mangala was fucking hideous and Stones has made a couple of sloppy errors last two games. He needs to cut that out.

De Bruyne was MOM, Sterling should have scored but played well and I thought Zinchenko did ok again. Other than that no one excelled. All others average to hideous.

I thought that in the first half, there was no easy out ball from defence as Yaya and Gundogan were not providing clear enough passing lines. Despite one or two could passes Bravo is streets behind Eddie in distribution and I think in combination with a good press from Bristol it really disrupted Mangala, stones and to an extent Danilo. Yaya improved in the second half but the transition from defence to midfield was still poor with little pace and too many passes sideways. Gundogan seems unable just now to change a game and Silva despite his assist was ineffectual. Too many changes to our best starting eleven. We will have to go stronger and play better to get to the final.

Every neutral in the country will be hoping that Bristol City can hang on...

Tough shit you wankers!!
He's probably true, but he's definitely a twat.
A one eyed biased twat he may be, but In his defence, he’s a one eyed biased twat that can’t stand the rags or ol’ piss can

Proper shit attendance for a semi final, proper shit. Well played Bristol, probably best team we've played at home this season. Everyone else has mentioned who are the liabilities in thus team, it's not hard to see.

Easy to blame the defense. But the passing was poor throughout the team. And Leroy added 5 million on to Alexis's fee. We should have won easily. But apart from KDB none of our midfielders or wide men shoot with any conviction.

Gundogan is such a myth. Couple of good performances a season and the rest are exactly like tonight. He’s too lazy to play the creative midfielder role.

Such a shame watching Yaya play these days. A shadow of himself
Spot on.

Feel sorry for Bristol. Played their hearts out and got done at the very end. We were rubbish.

I don't feel sorry for Bristol at all, I feel happy for City. Happy for the manager, happy for players playing every 3 fucking days for months, as well as for players clearly lacking match practice / out of form giving everything they've got. A team finding the courage to once again come from behind and win, a team keeping its composure till the last second, a team refusing to give up. I am moved by this team's heart, effort and professionalism, I feel privileged being their supporter.

Anyway City won again so I understand certain people in this forum feel ... let's say uncomfortable? Tough luck, I guess they'll have to wait for their next opportunity on Sunday. Congratulations to Bristol, fucking come on City!!!
