City v Celtic post match

Even with a weakened team we should be beating Celtic. That said, square pegs in round holes with some of the players. We have a lot of players who have unreliable touch and end product. Quality is defined by how often you can do good things. We have a lot of players who are capable of producing a good moment, but don't possess the quality to do it often enough. A fair few of those were on show tonight.

It felt a bit like a shop window friendly where you utilise your back ups to remind other teams that these players still exist and are available.

Positives, Kelechi took his goal well. Maffeo was ok. Gundogan was very good. Roberts looked good.

Negatives, Sane looks off although does show flashes of pace and ability. Nolito is a bit frustrating although started well.

And the rest....Fernando, Willy, Zabba, Clichy and Sagna are all a good level below what we are aiming for and it's becoming more and more obvious with each passing week. Will really miss Zabba though. He had a few good moments tonight but he gets slower every time I see him.
Are you a robot?

Find it bizarre that people are criticising Sané.

He looks a wonderfully exciting prospect who is almost ready to kick off.

I'm assuming it's a tv thing.

Fantastic to be able to look forward to him & The Baby Jesus in the New Year.
Im certainly not criticising him in that sense.

Im saying that he needs to do a lot more before he is a starter for me......and he needs to start taking chances...he has been nothing above average in the games he has played...one or two moments of excitement and real class (against chelsea and tonight) but that is not enough as for huge parts of the game all he did was pass sideways or backwards even when he had space to run into.

Great seeing Adarabioyo and Maffeo in the team, thought they both acquitted themselves well and looked very comfortable. Gundogan was just a class above everyone else on the pitch, although Nolito did well in spells.

I still don't feel comfortable with the 3 at the back because I just don't think we've got enough pace, strength or quality back there but we're still learning that system slowly so can't grumble.

Would have been nice for Foden to get on for the last 10-15 minutes but it sounds like his time will come.

Bang on. Small time fuckers who actually, sadly, remind me of how I felt watching us game raise every now and then, then get twatted 8-1 at the Riverside.

Does my head in.

It's a fucking sight better than any other I've seen playing that position.

You`ve missed out young Yoyo who I thought had an excellent game and hardly gave the ball away.Been very impressed with the youngster whenever he`s started and I expect him to be really pushing in the next two years for that central pairing with Stones.
Yeah he was ok as well. I'm just not really sure on his technical ability yet. He looks a bit clumsy with the ball.

Most entertainment tonight came from the underlying threat of violence in the stands tbh... Fairly decent atmosphere for such a dead rubber, but not a performance that inspired any excitement.

Sensational.

Unless you're just visiting
I'll give you the credit you deserve.
Over both legs you played very well with great support and could have won both games, City could have won both also.
We, City fans have been in your position in the past for over 20 years living in shadows and being the underdog so most of us recognise where you are coming from.
Good luck.

Cheers and good luck in the coming rounds. I would like to see you win it.

I think Tosin was good but people are glossing over his mistake late where he let the striker run across him onside. If one of our other CBs did that they'd be getting killed on here. Luckily Wily saved the chance.

Doesn't take much away from his performance for me, I'll grade him on a curve. Speaks to how perfect you have to be back there
