Yep. Luiz dived but should have been off an hour before.
I think that's what made Aguero snap, the knowledge that we were being kept out of goal by a good performance from a man who should've been sent off.

I'm glad Aguero went for Luiz. Should've stamped all over his ankles as well.
Actually they did, so 50000 people in real time watching the game including tier 3 saw his FACE AND HS SLOW MOTION change of mind, fuck me when did they install these magic seats? Can you tell me what a slow motion change of mind looks like from hundreds of yards away? Must be like a Mexican wave thousands of people turning their heads seconds after aguero went down. Was keanu reeves and agent smith there as well?
I think a large part of that is the type of football we play. I always thought that as long as we had Pellegrini in charge we could continually spend millions on the defence and still be in a situation where we think we need almost an entire new defence. We are still playing high risk football, we've spent another 50 million on the defence this summer and we still look like we need a whole new defence. The reality is that we don't need a new defence, we just need to play slightly more pragmatic football but that isn't going to happen any time soon so no doubt the search for central defenders will go on next summer. And then with Pep's high demands on the midfield and attack, where essentially every player should be an incredible athlete and incredibly good on the ball then I think there will always be times where very good players don't seem good enough. I do feel there would be other managers who could organise this group of players into a much more effective team purely in terms of winning matches but Pep's trying to do something different and he will need time and different players to suit his very specific needs, I suppose.I shudder to think what our squad has cost so far
And yet it seems we still need about 6 top player's
Maybe another 200 million ?

No shit Sherlock. But fans are getting a bit agitated as the same applied when we played Everton, Southampton and Boro in the previous home games. Teams mess up, but to mess up in four successive home league games is a major issue especially as we won the league in 2012 and 2014 dropping just 2 and 5 home points respectively.I agree sort of. Had our players taken their chances we would have won.
But on the other hand, had our player been given the chances we gave the Chelsea players, we would very likely have taken them.
What I am saying is that the way we're playing makes it pretty easy for decent defences to defend against. (We are too slow and ponderous in the build up, allowing them to get organised and to defend as a unit) and on the other hand we are making it very easy for swift attacking teams to punish us (because they catch us when we are out of position and strung out all over the pitch).
I genuinely think if we replayed that game 10 times we'd lose it at least 6 or 7 times. Chelsea are not all that good and yet we still failed to score against them. And they scored 3 against us, at home.
We haven't blown the league but because of the problems you allude to in the last sentence, I don't think for one minute that we will win the league. No shit Sherlock. Those saying we've blown the league are talking bollocks. Those who don't recognise we have a problem are just deluded.
It's not just the results. It's the performances.
The players look bereft of confidence and totally confused as to what to do.
If we had only realised it at the time but my god we had a proper manager in Bobby. I used to go to games like today thinking "if we aren't on it today we'll only win 1 or 2 nil". Now I go to games dreading what I'll see. And the football itself isn't exactly rip roaring. It's boring.
And pep himself hardly looks interested. It's like he's regretting it now he's realised the EPL isn't like Spain or Germany.
I'm gutted. Again.
