The real view from Astley
Thought we were excellent today, understandably it took us a bit to get used to playing with no recognised striker but once we did we played some smashing football and were unlucky not to go in one up from Zaba. Second half we were outstanding, some of our possession passing and movement was a joy to watch and we thoroughly deserved our win. Yaya played like the captain, what can you say about Milner (hard to understand what the stumbling block is, if any, with his contract but let's hope it can be sorted) and Samir Nasri, who has always been one of my favourites was sheer class today. Add a touch of Silva, a bit of Fernandinho and a dash of Navas and, all in all, a good day at the office.
Heard Warnock on the radio coming home, what a deluded twat, he actually said the crowd were nervous. If we got a favourable decision on the off side it was the only one we did get because Dowd was whistle happy and they pretty much all went Palace's way. Eight wins on the bounce, let's hope we can make it ten by the end of the month.
