City V Huddersfield Town Previous Games

Was there when we drew 1-1 with a last minute equaliser from John Gidman. We`d already fucked off out of the ground as we couldn`t see City scoring for love nor money. Some things never change being a City fan.

They like to talk about this 1-1 on radio Manchester, and the Gidman curler, but as b4 the blue moon says it was 2-2 with city scoring early doors thinking we were going to hammer them, then Gidman at the end after Paul Moulden won a couple of free kicks getting closer to the goal.

The Beardsley 3-1 away was a good game, thought a corner had been turned after that but a new dawn faded quickly.

Obviously my age and a "senior moment" must have played tricks as I honestly thought it was 1-1 and I was also there for the replay which I think we won 3-1.

Ok, look, I didn't make the 10-1, it was a few years before I was conceived, embarrassing I know, but can I still be part of this thread?

Glad you mentioned the Beardsley one as I refer to it as that too.
He ran the show. I thought no way are we going down with him in the side....
Next thing is we could only have 2 loan players and with Bishop, the other one I think but may be wrong, was Lee fucking Briscoe..... sent Beardsley back to wherever and got relegated.....

I'm sure we last played them away on a Friday night on TV and Goater equalised.
We were very fortunate to draw 1-1

I remember the 10-1 and all three of the cup matches the same season
Apart from those my memory of them is blank

Didn't they win on the last day of the season which confirmed our relegationto the third tier?
No they lost and Bradford (I think) lost to Portsmouth and port vale (not sure which played which?) and this kept vale and pompy up and relegated us, them and Bradford both fielded weakened teams I think

I was at the mcalpine in 98 with a rag mate of mine. We had the whole of the stand behind the goal and it was full.

I get to my seat 5 mins before kick off and someone had chundered all over it. Went to the steward who said he would clear it up. There were no spare seats anywhere. He never cleaned it so I spoke to another steward who told me to watch the game from the disabled section at the back of the stand. I think the occupants thought I was a carer or taking the piss.

We won 3 1 and my raggy mate had to sit next to Chunder and a worse for wear blue for 90 minutes. So it wasn't all bad!

I remember playing them at Maine road a couple of times. I was at the 10-1 my first year as a season ticket holder. Funny thing about that was a mate who had been going years ripped out 2 tickets from his season ticket book v Middlesbrough the game before so when he got to the turnstiles at Maine road he did not have the rocket to get in. So he missed it!

Worst one was bonfire night getting beat by them at home. Watching the fireworks over the stands instead of the action on the pitch.

You fucker, you caused me edit my post to include possible 1-1 in case I was wrong.

Do you get your facts from the MuEN ;)
