can't figure why ireland turned away from goal??? lack of confidence & sharpness due to lack of playing time maybe???
anyway: can't deny that it's been a boring game so far. city have been the better team though, no doubt about it. johnson may just be 2nd best buy of the season, after vermaelen of course.
didn't see the team sheet, is Bellamy on the bench? if he is, i'm figuring he can come in for ireland sometime in the 2nd half.

Ireland is not a striker, he needs to play behind the front 2 to get the best out of him. His passing and vision is world class, his shooting is league 1.

Take Barry off. Let De Jong have the DM spot for himself and put Bellamy on. Let him play just behind Ade on the left.

Agree, he has hardly done a thing all match, well season if you ignore the 1st 5 games. Def the weakest link in the team by far these days

All we're lacking is like an extra man up front. Adebayor has no one to lay it off to quite often. With Tevez I think we would have at least had chances, which is why we might need Bellamy on but as a second striker instead of winger. Only players for us who haven't at least been good are Barry and Zabaleta (although he got better as the half went on).

bellamy on with 30 to go, running at a tired carragher, could be very interesting indeed.
