CITY v Liverpool: Post Match Discussion

Re: Rice Pudding

Yaya is a top quality player. City fans that want him dropped puzzle me.

Re: City against counter-attacking football

I think the OP makes a good point! The BIGGEST area where we need to improve is not playing 2-0-8 when we attack!!

Thankfully, we have Milner and Barry who will get back, but they can only do so much! Sometimes, Nasri looks like TOO MUCH of a luxury for me, especially when the opposition has attacking wingers AND full backs. I think it is time to strengthen the midfield with a bit of steel and let Nasri be Silva's replacement. Having them both as "midfielders" leaves us a tad shy when we are defending and Yaya is bent over double in the opposition half of the field!

BTW, anyone notice that Liverpool basically played 4-5-1? I seem to remember City getting pilloried for doing that AWAY FROM HOME last season at Chelsea and Arsenal?!!

I thought we looked just as vulnerable to the quick counter today as we did against Napoli. Loads of giveaways in the final 3rd and acres of space for the other team. Today at least our fullbacks recovered but I thought central midfield didn't. We've tried both De Jong and Barry with Milner and Yaya, but nothing seems to help. Against Napoli it was Dzeko and Mario, today it was Nasri and Aguero, again neither setup seems to help.

What would you do transfer or strategy wise to stop this? This is not a player slagging thread considering we've looked vulnerable to this strategy no matter who plays.

we didnt concede and their goal was a fluke.. get a grip ffs man you'll live longer.

Joe Hart played a blinder.

Is there something about making a tactics thread that sends everyone on this forum insane or illiterate? Where in the OP does it look like I'm losing my grip?

You know what, nevermind. Should have known people would overreact.

Suarez' cuntitude is unspeakable, Old Testament grade archfiend. The best dive was the one where he stamps Komp and falls as if shot in the face by a sniper.

Re: City against counter-attacking football

I think this thread shows you are the typical fan who jumps on our back whenever anything goes wrong. We are in an unbelievable position, a point at anfield is nothing to be ashamed of. Get a grip.

my favourite Suarez dive was late in the 2nd half when he had half a step on Lescott, who recovered, then Suarez stood on top of the ball, took a tumble, and was looking at the ref for a whistle before he even hit the ground. Grade A ****.
THIS!
REF NEEDS TO TAKE AT HIS PERFORMANCE HE SHOULD HANG HIS HEAD IN SHAME AND SUAREZ SHOULD JUST FUCK OFF BACK TO URUGUAY

It's an emergency drill to practice opening the turnstiles in the event of an evacuation supposedly.

Why is it so loud then? At the Etihad we have a light system so players aren't disturbed.

What the hell is up with Sky barely discussing anything from the game and just showing shitty replays from the most unbalanced league in the world?
