City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

If we were at our best in that game we would have put Liverpool out of sight in the middle period of the second half yesterday, as we have done with other good teams. We kept breaking up play in their third of the field, or breaking at them, but then our quick passing just wasn't quite coming off. Silva and Nasri were misfiring and we kept putting balls int he box that weren't quite to feet. They played well, although we shaded it. But they were bang at their best and we were far from ours.

I think they'll make the top four but I think we will have ten points on them by May.

Good teams win games like that when not at their best. That's what we did.

Good lord.

My first comment on Rogers...

Shut your fucking mouth you big nosed bitter turd.
As mentioned your not fucking brave at all, it is a footy match not a fight to the death.

He knows his players were bad for cheating but rather than skirt the issue, has a moan about us and the ref.
Fuck off you tedious ****.
I hope it all goes to rat shit for him.

Your a grown man, buck up ffs.

No, No No! We have all got it completely wrong!
I have just read in the Times newsapaper this morning that Brendan's press conference after the game was a masterstroke of football Management...
Yes really it was. He intentionally deflected all the focus off the defeat thus wrong footing the media and easing all of the
pressure of his team. Infact the Times said he is the protege of Jose and infact Jose would have been immensely proud. So much so he would have
allowed himself a wry grin being so pleased with his pupil.
So there you have it. Brendan wasn't being bitter or angry or allowing his emotions to get the best of him like a spoilt child - nope.
I really don't think there is any coinicidence whatsover that the sports editor of the Times is huge Liverpool supporting scouser - do you? No didn't think so.
And just to top it off in the Sunday Times tomorrow there is a special colour pull out special brochure called 'Kop Idols' - showcasing all the legendary Liverpool strikers down the years. I kid you not.
I wonder why I read the Telegraph more often than not these days?

Agreed.

This has been his tactic since day 1. Even when they get shellacked he goes on about the spirit of the team and how well they played. Managers aren't paid to tell the truth to the media.

Brendon Rodgers is innocent t-shirts to be worn at the next game during warm up?

They're actually sending money? Pathetic. I've been rather internet-restricted over the holidays. Have any of the moaning scouse fools owned up to the fact that Skrtl had no business being on the pitch and we were denied several clear penalties due to him?

Anyone see the Phil McNulty 'report' on the match on the bbc website?

Did City even play at all?...

Absolutely shockingly bad reporting and dont get me started on the comments

Some clown in the comments says we'll be 'found out' because of our 'shocking' away form...

7 wins and 1 draw in all competitions in our last 8 aways (including the current CL champions)

hope we're as shocking for the rest of the season...
