City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

Congrats on the 3 points today, was an excellent game, some of the football played in the first half won't be bettered across Europe this year

Obviously gutted to lose, but we played well, created plenty of chances, and if maybe Mignolet hadn't made a mistake it could have been different, would like to think we're the best side outside of Bayern you've faced this year. At the end of the day a loss at the Etihad isn't going to decide whether we make top 4 or not, hopefully people will take us a little more seriously now, as ironic as that seems after a loss, a lot of your lot and others were predicting 5+ goals today, hopefully we proved some of the doubters wrong.

Good luck for the future, the title is yours, you just need to keep playing as you are, hopefully we can get CL this year, then keep adding quality players to challenge you next year, our problems (DM, Fullbacks) are so easy to fix, and reckon after the summer we'll be right up there with you.

Fantastic result but a poor performance, 50% relieved & 50% happy as fuck.

What the fuck is it with our centre halfs diving into challenges and trying to win the ball 10 yards into the oppositions half, leaving us all over the place at the back, anyone who think Vinny was MOTM is on glue.

We really didn't perform but credit to the scousers, they have to be considered genuine title challengers after that

Thurday night - Channel 5 for the rags.

All credit to our players getting a big win without Aguero. 1 point from the top, ecstatic.

Also if any Liverpool fan is reading, your team and manager are the real deal. Best team by far we've played in the league.

This.

Really happy with those points. Fair play to Liverpool, they are a handful. Lescott really struggled, some of our earlier bad luck evened out a bit today.

Well proud of the lads! Could of easily drawn the game, and actually could of won it.

Very very proud! Matched you guys with every move. We're gonna murder Chelsea!

Game of the season!

The rags have been winning like this for years.. so I don't mind having some of the luck and decisions that went for them for 20 odd years...

It does show that with a january window we could use a pacy midfielder who can get back. A mobile central defender is a must .Lescott was embarrassing and looked like he was auditioning for dancing on ice...

Very true! You have to take your wins how and where you get them and ride your luck sometimes as well! Agree certainly that an addition to the center of defense would be a good thing but its no good throwing cash at somebody who won't improve the squad.

The media's already behind Liverpool on this one saying they were the better team and that the winning goal was a Mignolet howler. Unbelievable

And to some extent theres fuck all wrong with those comments.

Why is nobody giving Negedo credit for using the outside of his foot, a skill you do not see much these days.
Liverpool played well but they were not the better team, City missed much more chances.
