As I said earlier I don't think Mane deliberately went to hurt Ederson but fucking Neville saying that he didn't see him because he was watching the ball was bollocks.
If Mane only had eyes for the ball and didn't know Ederson was there why did he try to kick the ball instead of letting it run on and controlling it as it dropped down.

2 teams playing, both with attacking talent and questionable defences. Aguero and Jesus for City, and Mane and Saleh for Liverpool were always going to have the upper hand in the battle. It was a matter of time before someone scored. The BIG difference was it was City that scored. That's because when Saleh got into decent positions, he fluffed it whereas Aguero didn't. City were clinical today and Liverpool weren't. I'm not saying the sending off didn't affect the game it's just that I'm not buying into the media narrative that "the sending off changed the game". If we were losing, or drawing before the sending off, then fair enough, but no,we were winning
Liverpool were pathetic afterwards, in contrast to the fight shown by City in similar circumstances against Everton. One team deserved to win today and that team was City. The same team that were winning before and after the red card.

I've been on his case since well before we signed him, but he's stepping up.

And I think having Kompany around at the end of last season & this pre season is a big factor, showing him the job we want him to do in the future.

But of course for England: Phil Jones is numero uno. Lol.

I couldn't agree more, if he can take even half of Kompany's defensive ability and experience we'll have a hell of a player on our hands. He's clearly learning and just seeing him have the confidence to take control of situations like the Otamendi one today is great to see.

I appreciate the sentiment and its good of you to post in a reasonable fashion, thanks for that and hope you enjoyed the game. I think you are buying into a narrative there though mate, nothing has happened this season to suggest we have a questionable defence. That was last season. As for Saleh, he only has one foot and that will tell with quality oppostion. Ederson knew that when one on one, he would push it onto his left foot and so low to Edersons right. Made it easy for him. Thats not fluffing it, that is just doing his best, which is predictable one one footed

It's the hypocrisy that annoys me - watch from 13mins - shearer agreeing that Cahill endangered his apponent and it was a red card.
