City v Liverpool - Post Match Thread

The fact that all of these pundits were far more concerned by Mane's sending off than Edersons well-being says it all really.

The red card shouldn't even be up for debate. It's one of the most blatant red cards in PL history.

Whilst the rule book clearly explains why it was a red card, I'd also like to point out the whole hypocracy of the media in regards to these sorts of challenges.

Rewind to the first game of the season when Chelsea played Burnley. Cahill overstretched for a ball, that was there to be won, but the Burnley player nipped in first and got caught high on the leg.

Every single fucking pundit agreed that it wasn't malicious, it was an accident, but still a sending off. There were no sky sports polls about how harsh it was, or no outcry from Gary Neville about how Cahill's eyes were on the ball and he didn't mean it. It was about how the ref got the decision right but Cahill was unlucky.

I actually don't blame the Dippers for believing they've been robbed. They live in a 1940 Germanyesque society of propaganda where their club can do no wrong and they lap it up.

Also, for all the talk of the magical Anfield atmosphere and the passionate LFC fans just have a look at the away end come the 80th minute yesterday. 5/6ths of those vermin had already fucked off back to Wales, Norway or whatever other shithole they stem from.

Horrible fans, horrible club who even make United fans seem decent.
Oh dear "WELL SAID" Super Doper !! PERFECT .

My missus was reading the papers online this morning... she saw an article about Ederson being out in town last night... I said "and" she replied "he made a meal of it"...

She is a Dipper but I had never noticed the bitterness till that moment

That was a great performance. Thought Stones was excellent and is going to become a very good player. Walker what a signing - and Mendy going to be a real threat. KDB was magic and the movement of Jesus up front had the dippers marking shadows. Danilo astute signing. Eddie is going to become one of our best ever keepers, just exudes confidence.

One thing I noticed today was much more leadership on the pitch with a number of individual players driving us forwards. We would have beaten them 11-11, we were a joy to watch today.

That was the worst dipper vocal support I can remember. Thought Everton fans were much louder. The treatment of Eddie from their support was shocking, but of course that does not get reported, just our booing of Milner. The booing of an injured player was much worse but the press ignore it. Thought the chant of them living in the past was spot on. Pep got it right today and can't wait for the rest of the season.

Great post Daz. Agree with every word.

They're a special breed the Dippers. Almost cult like in their ways but consistently classless.

My boss is a Preston fan and a guy in our team at work Forest, both now working in Manchester. We went to that fixture at Deepdale last season for a lads day out. On the way back to Manchester on the train we were sat next to a group of Liverpool fans who'd been to the Merseyside derby and had planned to go out in Manchester later. These lot were proper inner city Scousers and dressed head to toe in tracksuits as if it was 2004.

Bearing in mind we were only on with them from Preston, they managed to squeeze in racially abusing a black guy (waiting until he'd walked well beyond where we were when they did the shithouses), singing about the Munich air disaster, singing about Harold Shipman and snorting coke off the table in the train journey.

We pulled them up on the first three offences and were threatened every time and it nearly came to blows.

Now my mates dad is a Liverpool fan from the Wirral and is a thoroughly great bloke and one or two more I've met are sound but they have a huge amount of pondlife amongst them.

In the main I find them horrendous people.

I'm sure they do. Its hard to believe every single last one of them are horrible bastards. Ive seen some pure ****s in our own fan base over the years. Every club has them.

I did have a look on Rawk and the more reasoned ones were ripping the idiots apart who thought it was a non red.

I can't recall City fans behaving like that when a player has been carried off.

I looked from top to bottom of their section as Ederson was being carried off & could not see one person giving any sympathetic applause. Lots waving & behaving like arseholes.
