City v Liverpool - Post Match Thread

Always the Victims never your fault is classed as a Hillsborough song.
I think we can give it a miss.
It's about their entitled victim attitude in general I thought, lends it self to a lot of things... they just don't like it and think they can change it's meaning even though it's not their song and obviously have no clue it was about them moaning at the ref when he made the right call.

Don't often post but my hatred for the scousers forces me to today. I hate those bastards like no others. It's not that they're wankers - there's plenty of them - Utd, Spurs, Everton etc etc - it's the double standards they have. "We're cheeky, lovable, laugh a minute, salt of the earth scousers, it was Chelsea fans at Heysel, there's no better set of fair-minded, sporting fans than us. Observe our incessant minute silences". Er - we do. We moved our game with you in c. 1999 to Good Friday (the only game to be played that day I think) because you couldn't possibly play on the 10th anniversary of Hillsborough - we impecably observed a minutes silence and your first act was to start singing "Going down". We did the same on the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough at Anfield, you won a potential title deciding match 3-2 and you bricked City vehicles after the game. Today you booed a player who was given oxygen and placed in a neck brace and only a handful of you showed any respect as he was stretchered off - the rest of you cheered, waved cheerio etc. Absolute vermin - you are a complete and utter set of candle-lighting, hypocritical, grief monkey wankers.

A contender for the best post I've ever read on BM.

Great performance from us today especially as I was fearing the worse after otamendi took a yellow. Not sure how he's meant to defend against a player like Salah. He's so rapid and the balls were just being launched into that corner - Nico can't compete with that pace. If he gets too tight to Salah then he just burns past him so I think it is almost the right approach to retreat back towards the box and close the space Salah is attacking rather than get left for dead in the corner. It looks like bad defending because it's passive but perhaps it's him knowing his own limits. The worst part of Nico's game today was how he put himself under pressure when pressed and his passing fell apart half way through the first half.

Stones had a really good game and I'd have given him man of the match. Danilo just seems like a real solid player. Mendy and Walker make such a difference. Fernandinho had his best game in ages and KDB is just something else.

If Ederson hadn't been taken out by Mane he'd have had a quietly excellent game. You realise how much of a difference he makes when you don't brick it every time a ball goes into our box. His kicking out of his hands is unreal.

Don't know if anyone saw my pre-match post on how City always get big wins in big games when I'm away :)

If you'd like to club together and send me away for the Derby I'll take the hit

Thought you said big games...

Regarding the red card .read the rules about dangerous play .
it has been genuinely bewildering today just how many people, including ex pros and ex and current managers don't seem to know one of the basic laws of the game. I wonder if they would all have been unaware of that law if it had been Sergio nearly taking Mignolet's head off his shoulders?

I remember sitting in the main stand at Maine Rd at Easter 1982 when Liverpool beat us 5-0,that was payback today.
