silva looked half the player he has looked in the prem, tevez didnt give a shit

Aside from one shot on goalwhen he took on five defenders Tevez offered nothing.

Whatever you want to say to slam Tevez, the reality is the entire team were completely drained at 75min, so it was pretty hard for him to wave a magic wand and goal.. To much criticism without thought. IMO

napoli did not give any space for city forwards especially silva to move the ball around. thats all i think what napoli did and did well to stop us today. and this is why silva, nasri, aguero.... all looked average today.

Lescott is our biggest liability!

Gives me a heart attack everytime he gets the ball..

Don't think he's good enough for Champions League football tbh..

But he can play on a wet and windy cold night at stoke. :-)

excellent analysis of the game by Peter Beagrie on SSN now ,spot on on nearly everything he said .

When we are on top we need to put away our chances. NDJ and Barry in midfield for the Euro`s away are a must plus a more on the break approach. We need to be more ruthless in possession and a tad more cynical off the ball (Nasri). Learning curve for us but proud of the effort. Very flat for 20mins in the second half and maybe Mancini could have changed it a bit earlier. Having said that we had twice as many shots at goal as Napoli and hit the woodwork twice. But a draw was the fair result and we will grow as a team for the experience.

Good reality check for us, and that's no bad thing. It's out of the way now and you cant take anything away from napoli, they were excellent. For us we just need to be quicker in moving it out of midfield and sergio/david/samir need to adjust to the milisecond less time they have on the ball. I also thought we were a bit arsenal like in that the extra and unnecessary passes hurt us.

All in all fantastic game and there is no doubt we belong at this level.

yup they had a decent game plan - crowd the midfield pressure Silva and press the back 4

both looked poor today. esp barry for loosing out in a crucial area. silly mistake.

but looking at the bench who is better?

we are missing de jong and milner.
Barry was brilliant tonight or was I watching a different match???

Barry played well except for the mistake that led to their goal.

Lescott is our biggest liability!

Gives me a heart attack everytime he gets the ball..

i agree about lescott! when is kolo guna be fit again?! please think id rather have savic on!

REALITY CHECK for us, definately.

We are NOT better than Barca and I don't think we will win the CL at our first attempt!

I think the first 20 minutes City played fantastic fluid football and to me it looked like Spurs match again - but for some reason it fizzled out and Silva and Nasri never quite upped gears going forward so the constructive play never received its positive conclusion. This needs to be looked at.

Mistakes happen. If it were Silva who coughed up the ball that led to the goal we'd overlook it. Silva had many poor touches today too. But at the half Barry was our best passer.
