City V Notts Match Thread

Hmm, what kind of formation is that? The guy on MCFC claim Kolarov is winger, but let's say he's wrong:

Richards - Kolo - Lescott - Kolarov
Zab - Vieira - Yaya
Balotelli - Dzeko - Silva

Or if Kolarov is left winger/midfielder:
Richards - Kolo - Lescott - Zabaleta
Silva - Yaya - Vieira - Kolarov
Balotelli - Dzeko

I don't think he'd want to play Silva as RM though. Maybe Kolarov in Barry's role?

Yaya - Vieira - Kolarov
Balotelli - Dzeko - Silva

Not really a left winger, more like a CM/LM mix.

------------------ Hart ------------------

- Richards - Kolo - Lescott - Zabaleta -

------------------ Viera -----------------
--------- Yaya ------------- Kolarov ---
------------------ Silva -----------------

----------- Balotelli - Dzeko ------------

It would look good, also known for Dzeko, he played like this in Wob.

I hope we don't burn out Silva, seems everyone has been able to catch their breath lately but he's started all the time.

I would guess its the usual 4-3-3, lining up with:

Richards------Kolo--------Lescott--------Pascal
------Yaya------Uncle Pat------AK---------
------Silva-------Dzeko-------Balo------------

Decent team that

Using Yaya as left midfield seems like a waste when we could've used SWP, but I guess it's possible. Would love to have some good crosses from the wings for our tall strikers though.

I think he's the type of player that prefers to play all the time, keeps his touch sharp. Plus if you look he is very conservative in how he uses his energies, he glides across the surface, does the bare minimum of movement with the ball and so i think he uses far less energy than players like Yaya whose technique is more strength based

-- Sun Feb 20, 2011 1:27 pm --

So it would appear that even Mancini has run out of patience with Jo if he isn't starting these types of games as he was previously

SWP not even made the bench, must have really pissed Bobby off on Tuesday then

I don't think it's possible for Yaya to be a worse crosser than SWP.
