What a load of fucking bollocks..poverty shaming my arseA poverty based insult on lending kit.
Like saying dipper, as a poverty insult when Manchester and Liverpool are both similarly deprived.
It is a bit pathetic using either.
What ? You need to get out more then.I have never heard anyone call them rags in real life.
I do, my friends and family do and other blues I have met doI have never heard anyone call them rags in real life.
A few years ago there was this woman United 'fan' in my local, who had never ever been to the Swamp, just watched them on TV in the pub. A right know-all and pain in the arse. One night she chastised me for always referring to them as rags, saying that she found it insulting. I suggested she did her homework on the club she claimed to support and if she did then she'd discover that it was 'proper' United fans who gave them the nickname. Not us Blues. That shut her up straight away.I honestly didn’t know there was a specific reason they were called rags, I just took it to be a generic insult meaning dirty scruffy horrible scumbags.
Regardless, for as long as I can remember we’ve referred to them as rags in my family and I’ve heard the term used countless times at the match
Me tooI’ll get in trouble if I write what I call them.
See ya!No one choses to grow up in poverty. Those who insult on that basis normally have their stories too. All the best.
How bizarre. I've never been to a derby and not heard it.I was just a fanzine and internet thing I thought.
Never heard it once at a game either, let's see Sunday.
