Yeah. Think it's been confirmed this morning he has a slight tear in his hamstring. He isn't going to play against us.
Stem cell treatment apparently although I think stem cell is spelt with a P then E then a D

I agree that I don't know why we did it, whether to draw them out, or that we knew we couldn't keep that up for 90 minutes (probably both anyway), but my point was that to me it looked intentional, rather than forced by RM. I watched it again last night (highlights) and I'm even more convinced it was deliberate. You might be right that we dropped off deliberately but if we did, it might just have been a recognition that we could not physically keep up the first half performance or it might have been to draw them out. Also, they may have deceided to be more progressive and imposed their quality on the game. Really don't know but l do think the old chess match analogy is fair.
I enjoyed the game, even when I watched it a second time and thought there was plenty to be happy about in City's performance. Now that they have got throught the first leg unscathed, I hope the players will relax a bit, but remain totally focused, and give an even better account of themselves in Spain.
At least you enjoyed the game.Just discovered the cost of my five-hour phone call to City, because they couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery, has cost me £25.10. That's despite me having BT's free anytime package at £23 a month.
You see, you have to hang up before the hour mark, and then dial again.
Which is fine, as long as you aren't ringing fucking City. In addition to the £10 booking fee City also charged me for the courtesy, again, because they are fucking useless, my expenditure just to get the actual fucking Real home tickets I was fucking entitled to was £35.10.
That's fucking more than I paid for one of the fucking tickets.
Robbing wankers, the lot of 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to think you see your statement about us meekly surrendering as being well off the mark and a little tongue in cheek
What would have been the point in that? You've already said Real will score 3 or 4 so we'd still be out.
To be honest, yes it was slightly tongue in cheek, but I do believe we paid too much respect to Real, fearing they could score an away goal, which stifled our own attacking intent, I think the balance was too defensive for my liking.
Only time will tell whether 0-0 was a good result for us in the end (I fear it may not be).
0-0 is better than most results where Real would have one or more away goals. To be precise better than all realistic results :-)Fair enough, but a counter argument would have been in trying to chase a goal or two, we could have easily left ourselves vulnerable. I'm much more happy with a 0-0 than winning 3-2
