City v Real Madrid post match

Disagree with those who say it was a mistake to bring on Nacho instead of Sterling.

Kelechi proved he was in form at the weekend. With Sterling, it's increasingly a question of what you'll get. Yes, he's turned in some great CL performances but isn't match fit and is totally inconsistent.

If Pellegrini had sent on Sterling early and he (quite likely) played shit, he would have been slaughtered on here.

I was chuffed to see him come on and thought it was a good decision. In hindsight it changed the shape and our control of the game. So - was it a wrong decision? Who knows.
One thing for sure is that if he had brought someone else on then today would be full of other people saying it was the wrong call.

From the looks of it yes, he has a muscle tear and won't be assessed till next wednesday after he's grown tired of Madrids medial staff apparently using Stem Cells to help and was seen climbing into a car boot to try and avoid the spanish press from reporting it...

Made my day even better, if he does turn out there is NO WAY he will be 100% fit... Ps I would rest aguero on Sunday, I don't care what he says, next Wednesday is more important now

Maybe this is a daft question - ? But is Real Madrid's pitch bigger than the Etihad -?
Whenever I have seen them on tele there seems so much space on the wings. Just curious.

PS. All this Stem - Cell talk makes me wonder if we could 'Clone' Dennis Tuert ?
We need a goal scoring winger.

There's scoring two against Stoke and then there's replacing David Silva in a champions league semi final though and I love Kelechi but it was the wrong sub. He could of even brought on Delph and pushed Fernandinho over to the left or right like he's done before

To be honest mate, I think we've looked at our best playing that shape when teams have attacked us, as it's perfectly set up for us to counter attack quickly.

The Aston Villa away game we played a similar shape and we were absolutely dreadful. In the vast majority of league games we have to be the pragmatists, so it's not always possible to play on the break.

It didn't work v Villa but imo one of the main reasons was that the players were absolutely fucked after the Champs Lg game & running at half pace. Similar to the Liverpool game after the cup final altough that was also a fairly suicidal setup which made it worse.

I recon Yaya could do a job for most teams playing every other game, as one of a midfield 3, but isn't a No 10 or any good in a midfield two & will struggle in most games in either role especially if he plays several games in a row.

Most of the time, he plays in a two, having played shortly before. It's just daft imo.

Good 1st half performance , but we ran out of steam in the 2nd half and couldnt press , MP reduced the midfield numbers when he brought on Nacho and Dinho tired in the 2nd half which allowed them to dominate ,but the arrogance of Real players and supporters could just be their undoing , our lads will not go over there to lie down in awe of their galacticos like Wolfsburg did.
