City V Sheff Wed (LC) Post match Thread

Great 2nd half, really enjoyed it. Pozo impressed me after a shaky start after coming on. He is definitely a City style of player and with more development looks like he could slot in nicely.

A young Lampard would be priceless for us... he just appears where you want him and scores. I guess this is what we were hoping Rodwell would be.

Good to see attendance up from the usual League Cup 3rd round game, heavily due to Wednesday's good following. They were loud but we had to endure the usual tinpot songs like WWYWYWS. A lot of unfamiliar faces around me and these people would just not sing no matter what the situation. It takes a proper miserable twat to sit stone-faced during "Stand up for the champions".

Weds fans deserve a special mention. Great turnout and they made an atmosphere. Routine victory for us, great to see the new lad score.

The Wednesday fans were absolutely amazing, right till the end. They out sang us big time. Until the 89th minute I don't think we got a sound in!!

And after the match as I was walking away I said to a group of them, "you were great supporters tonight lads" and they thanked me and then gave me hugs and kisses! Brilliant.

I never 'stand up for the champions' - never been a fan of that chant. Dont need telling when to stand up.

took 2 7 year olds with me today and they were shouting and singing but actually got told to "oh shut up" of a woman in 122.one of my lads had to ask me if he could shout after that. im usually in 109 and there some right miserable twats over the over side in the colin bell

Enjoyed the game, love midweek matches,it splits the week up. The Wed fans sang songs i hadn't heard since the 80s.

Still in the dark ages in Sheffield, quite a few Teddy boys to be seen.

Yeah the only songs i was waiting for was the woaahhhhhh you're shit ahh at goal kicks and you're going home in a st. Johns ambulance, they would have completed the full 1980s song list.

Weird game. Poor 1st half, but non stop goalmouth action in the 2nd.

I was impressed again with Mangala, and Navas. Navas just never stopped running and always made himself available

Wednesday fans were good
