Will there be loads of empty seats for this ? £20 seems high for this so with champs league and FA cup commitments I am most definitely out

£15. Wednesday are bringing 6,000 so should be a good atmosphere.
It will be from Wednesday but with the South Stand split up where's the City noise coming from

Not sayig put in 8 yougsters but at least one or two really could get a debut maybe, dont know who is best performing EDS/U19 player at the moment, but just one or two could come in from vbench or one should start without thinkig ohh what if he is shit and costs us the game. I mean its Wednesday at home we surely cant wait until Coference teams com to Etihad to take risk with 1-2 younger player.

Nastasic deserves playing time even if Pelle doesnt rate him at all, as its gonna be be probably his only game until next round of Capital Cup. Mangala needs match fitness so he starts for me too. But both are left footed so not sure at all.

I dont think there's a need to play Mangala again midweek after yesterday's performance. He'll be fine for Hull. Boyata and Nastasic need the game time.

I dont know enough about the youngsters to know who might be ready and not on loan. Ideally a defensive midfielder alongside Lampard but I dont think we have one?

Hart
Sagna
Demichelis
Nastasic
Clichy
Fernandinho
Lampard
Navas
Nasri
Sinclair
Dzeko

Edit: Changed my mind with the keeper, Joe should keep playing in this vein of form.

I disagree.

Hart should rest, he has had three tough games in little over a week and has performed pretty well ( sweet FA he could have done about the rent boys goal yesterday). Keep that run of form in his mind and let him take it into the Hull game.

Willy needs games for match sharpness in case Joe gets injured (god forbid but it could happen). At least half of goal keeping is the sure and certain knowledge that the opposition are not going to score (I know I was one and now I teach kids how, sad to say at age, 50, my body can no longer keep up with what I want it to do ( and I will not play on the basis of 4 years ago I would have got that) but I am not ready to become an observer just yet).

If it is put to Joe in the right way i.e. Caballero needs the game for match fitness but you are in for the next Prem game I cannot see him having a problem with it.

I might, depending on how he feels after yesterday, be tempted to play Mangala again, he was awesome and has had a light start to the season, ideally he would play with Vinnie all the time ( and nobody would get a sniff in ) but injuries happen so a chance to learn MDM's game (and vice versa) is not to be sniffed at.

Boyata has to start this game, he's part of both Premier League and Champions League squads so needs game time to stay sharp.

Willy
Sanga
Boyota
Nasty
Clichy
Navas
Demi
Lamps
Sinclair
Nasri
Hiwula

Dzeko
Silva
YAYA
Hart
Mangala
Milner
Fern

Sagna----Demi-----nasty-----clichy
Navas------Milner----lampard---Sinclair
-------------Dzeko------(academy striker)--

Surely starts for Cabalero, Sagna, Boyata, maybe Nastasic (if he's fit) and Sinclair. And I would play Aguero to up his matchfitness over 90min. and it wouldn't harm him to score a few. Put one or two youngsters on the bench.
Sh.Wednesday had a good start and it could be another Watford / Wigan cup tie at home in the making. So let's be carefull.

I really look forward to this fixture, more so than normal at this early round. I hope to see a lot of non regular players get a chance to impress, such as Caballero, Boyata, Nastasic and Lampard.

Maybe something like (is Fernando fit btw)?

-------------------- Caballero ---------------------
Zaba -------- Boyata ----- Nastasic ------- Clichy
----------- Fernando ----- Lampard --------------
--------------------- Nasri -------------------------
Navas ------------------------------------- Sinclair
--------------------- Dzeko ------------------------

Subs:
Hart
MdM
Kolarov
Milner
Yaya
Pozo/Hiwula
Aguero

Zaba?

As he can't play next weekend I figured it would be too much for Sagna to play Wednesday AND Saturday. Also Zabas excellence and experience could be needed in that back line.
