If there isn't 5-6 EDS players included in this squad then it is a disgrace really. Without sounding all big time and without disrespecting Sheff Wed, this cup is the least of our worries this season. We already have a small squad and it is impossible to win all four trophies.

If 5-6 EDS lads aren't included when are they going to get a chance? What is the point of them being here? If we play 5-6 of them and get battered i'd rather see that than the likes of Sinclair, Lampard and Nastatsic plodding to a win.

We have four midfielders with one being Lampard.
Our 4th defender is Nastatsic/Boyata who both are not wanted here.
Scott Sinclair is part of that 23.

When you take that into account we have just about enough quality to fill a matchday squad of 18 and that is before any injuries/suspensions to our main players.

Chumps and League for me is what we should go for,not worth taking risks now.

2 in each position is only enough to cope with a League and Chumps League push IMO.

When I tried to put my 11 out I realised we only have 2 proper fit strikers & one of those is only 75% fit.

Also,at the rate of bookings we are picking up we probably need a squad of Frank Clarkeesq proportions ;)

If this XI can be considered our best - Hart, Zaba, Kompany, Mangala, Kolarov, Milner, Yaya, Fernandinho, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko - Yesterday's 11.

And these players can be considered the next best lot as subs - Caballero, Sagna, Demichelis, Fernando, Jovetic, Nasri, Navas.

Nastasic, Boyata, Sinclair, Wright, Lampard as back up is hardly inspiring when the likes of Kompany, Aguero and Jovetic have their injury records and a team that is not young.

We may have 22 players with 2 for each position but doesn't mean the quality is there, we have 18 followed by 3 who are not wanted here, an on loan 36 year old and Richard Wright!
