Happy to see that we have a great mentality now...we can really fight back against any result that can happen to us.

Exciting match for the most part but I would have settled for a boring 1-0 and everyone fit and healthy.

Strange from RM to play 3 at the back all pre season and then start the Prem using the tried and trusted. I wonder why he did that? Was it due to the lack of certain players during pre season or for a plan B?

Some precious flowers on here acting like they wouldnt be over the moon if Rooney or RvP went down with a knee injury. Not condoning their fans being dicks about it, but its football FFS not knitting.

Soton deserve credit for the way they played, just glad we got the points.

I'd expect any teams supporters to cheer at their nearest rivals in that situation us v the rags or saints v pompey but when there's little or no history of bad blood between clubs whats the fucking point, what does it again. Especially when everyones banging on about the fucking Olympics all the time ;-)

We need De Rossi so badly or a player like him to go along Rodwell/De jong way to open even against Southampton with that formation and Yaya is wasted playing that far back.

I bet the knob cheered when we won though..

A game lasts 90 mins plus time added.. I wish these people would learn.

A city fan unhappy we went down 2-1 against Southampton then had the audacity to cheer when we scored.

seems he only cheers when we are winning..what a model 'supporter'. Its far more constructive to cheer the team through thick and thin.well thats my take.

Strangely, I thought the players looked confused by playing a back four. Maybe them playing with 3 recently had an adverse affect.
