Thought Rodwell looked good, apart from the obvious. Very neat and tidy, and covers the ground quickly.

Surprised after playing 3 at the back the whole pre season, and playing it well, that we reverted to type.

If we play two up front, I'd play Nasri, Yaya, behind them.

With two from Barry/de Jong/Rodwell/Milner behind.

Hope Dzeko's confidence goes up a few notches after this. He sure can need it. Very happy to see him score and the joy he displayed.

Hope Aguero is ok.

Grateful for the goal obviously, and he took it well.

But again his overall performance was poor.

There was so much wrong with that performance I don't know where to start. Let's hope it's a one off because if its not then god help us. Mancini was so slow to react to our midfield been over run it was criminal. Jo hart needs to be told in no uncertain terms not to constantly surrender possession needlessly. This is a fault he has had throughout his time with us. He just boots it straight back to the opposition. Wake up call for any of us who thought this season would be a "parade of champions".

Ease up pal, only first game of the season.

I'm more worried about the thought of not having Kun for a long period.

Well not really, because their fans probably assumed Aguero was just another European Import that feigns injury which we all know that he isn't, and it wouldn't have been 8-0, it would have been 8-2. There is no need for the bitterness. Job done, even though it was in an awkward way.

More stressful than expected but got the points nevertheless! Thought Tevez played well, Dzeko did as well, looked more mobile than usual. Silva wasn't good but he hasn't had much of a pre-season so he can only get better. Thought Rodwell did alright except that pass. On another day Silva would have scored the pen, put the chance that he hit the bar in, Mario would have put his chance in and we'd all be buzzing. We've won our first game and rags have a tough game at Everton tomorrow. Could have been worse.
