City v Southampton post match thread

This is Ogden writing in the telegraph

With a two-goal lead, City choked the life out of the game in the second-half, restricting Southampton to half-chances.
City also barely threatened, with Toure booked for diving while attempting to win another penalty before Stevan Jovetic made it 4-1 on 80 minutes.

The home side coasted to victory, but the contentious nature of their win will linger on.

Did he watch the same game as me? Their keeper made good saves from tight angles against Dezo and Navas, Yaya hit the post, Beast had two one on ones and Jovetic scored.

I wonder what we'd have had to do to really threaten?

Our enemies in the media are up to their usual antics. Yes we were poor in the first half, I suspect Ferdy was carrying an injury. We changed it at half time and totally overwhelmed them in the second half. It could easily have been six, seven or eight goals. The offside decision matters not a jot. FFS they managed one shot on target in the whole match.
There seems to be almost desperation with some of these sports reporters for City to fail. What drives it all is the fact that we are the hated Johnny foreigners and little old Southampton are packed with England's best young stars. It's pathetic really and I can't wait for us to ram it down their throats again. I am looking forward to next week's coverage when we sweep Liverpool aside at Anfield.

Back story 1st - family stand with a 8 year old , been stuck on the car park for a good 45 in the past so now get the tram in from Ashton now it's there, and usury leave 5 early to avoid the crush on the tram home rather then 10 early when take the car.... Stayed till the end today for once as was planing on going to watch the national at our kids pub which is local, ... So no rush stayed till the end , clapped the team off, even let the rush go on the concourse , had a pee the slowly made my way to the car park, ... A full fkin hour it took from the car park to turning on to the main road and my car got a egg threw at it neat Asda by a couple of local Chavz .... Bk to Tram and 5 min early from now on... If all you leaving early moaners had to wait around for a hour then I'd guess you'd think b4 having a go... I'll admit I was shocked to see how empty the stadium was at full time as I'm usual eye gone by then...
Main road veteran and never left early unless we was getting a pasting from the likes of Crewe, walk down to Wimslow rd kebab mrs picks you up easy peasy, didn't mined killing a hour, but there's fk all round thee worth hanging about for...
so the people leaving early are all in cars parked in the car parks

How the fuck would I know?

But as a edit .. Obviously not otherwise the thing would have been cleared and I wouldn't have been on the thing for a hour...

All this rushing. Not good for you. Me and the lad tune the radio to the footy, he gets out the program and he reads and
we talk about the game and we'll get out the car park when..... well when it happens.

Southampton had the better possession 1st half without doing fuck all with it..

so pinnocchio can shut the fuck up about the linesman killing the game..

Incidentally, their only shot on target was the penalty..

Very true. We were a bit lethargic in the 1H, but you are 100% right - apart from the penalty, they never looked like scoring. Whereas we missed 5 golden chances (Nasri right at the start, Dzeko's header off Nasri's free kick, Dzeko's 1-on-1 with the keeper where he fluffed the rebound, and Negredo's 2 breakaways). On another day, it could have been 6 or 7-1.
