Felt sorry for Mangala, he didn't have much choice. Losing Vince is a bit of a blow though.

Brilliant performance today. Even with nine men we were better than the opposing twelve.

Just bloody annoying that Vinnie and Manga are going to miss games. Those two look as though they are developing well as a partnership but it is never a good thing not to have Vinnie available.

good post. the thing that mangala needs is games. he's improving every week.

And I think he knew exactly what he was doing when he went in on that tackle. He took one for the team and Yaya to assure we didn't go 1-1 immediately. That would have brought the crowd back into the match and Soton would have started to grow in confidence. Staying up one meant they had an edge of hesitancy while being simultaneously emboldened (paradox, I know, but I think true) which allowed us to pick them apart.

When I saw the team I could just imagine the hand wringing that was going on around here.

I said there would be a shit-storm if we lost. I would have been a little more cautious than Pellers but I honestly still expected to win when I saw the team.
