City v Southampton Post Match Thread

it's only aguero'a fault he didn't score. he had 2 brilliant assists though. immense player. but I would of been nice if he could have bagged a few for his 100th appearance for Man city

The good thing about such a public f@ck up by that ref against aguero is that it will make the next decision to give aguero a pen easier.

Like his three non penalties in the derby? Or his one or two against CSKA?

For some reason, refs just don't want to give him frees, around the ground as well as the penalty area.
Just about as nailed on as you could get that pen. If anyone can be arsed have a look at one given to Celtic V Hearts in Jockinese cup
about as far the other way as was possible and the only saving grace was that the two players were on the same park

Our best performance of the season imo.

No coincidence Fernandinho is also back to his excellent self.

When Silva and Kolarov are back this team should be even better than last season.

Big part of our improvement imo.

Really what does he bring to the table ?
Not impressed and would rather play Milner more .
At least Milner can cross a ball .

Saints full backs were nonexistent as an attacking force to day. Milner gave the ball away when he came on on several occasions Navas attempted more crosses today Milner put none in
Milner did more in that 15 minutes than Navas did all match .
Navas frustrates me big time .
Plus every chance Navas gets he doesn't score .
I thought wingers should chip in with the odd goal .

I invite you to read this article =) http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30268213
still think he is low on form though and is missing to many chances but I hope he comes back to delivering those deadly crosses

I posted earlier about the respect the Southampton fans had for City.

Been back and read this thread from the last page backwards and they really are very respectful - worth a look, guess many posters on here (self included) could learn from it.

Well done Southampton supporters!

Just reading Oliver Kay's piece in the Times.

He ends it with, "The consolation for Southampton, is that, as tough as this run of fixtures is, Arsenal and United should not be quite so tough".

Nice touch I thought.
