Do we know whats wrong with Ota? Maybe Sagna can play at CB with him if fit whilst we hopefully get the stones deal done. Really don't want to see dinho in defense as i think he is so good in DMF he is wasted at the back.

Of vinny, otter & mamgo ain't ready then surely sagna should.deputise with denayer of tosin. Only other option is to use ferdy or Yaya in defense.

I still think out starting game gives us a little time to adjust as sunderland are also behind in pre season with the manager only just arriving. hopefully some of our mainCBs will be them ready for Bucharest

Hopefully Otamendi's injury isn't serious, and he'll be fit in time for Saturday.

I'd go for something like this, but suspect Guardiola won't!

Hart
Zabaleta
Sagna
Otamendi
Clichy
Fernandinho
Delph
De Bruyne
Silva
Sterling
Aguero
Have you heard anything about Otamendi? I was relying on him being available and he's the most reliable central defender we have in the absence of Kompany.

Up to Guardiola to decide on his squad, but if the other defenders are injured then I'd play Mangala. At least it would put him in the shop window.

I think so too. I thought that last season as well, but Pellegrini used him once as a centre-back but he is a very experienced capable player. Sagna plus a left sided defender such as Mangala or at a plus Kolarov sounds an obvious solution. But then why didn't Guardiola play them against Arsenal?

defensively clear as mud at the moment, hoping stones will sign in time to play and otamendi gets fit or sagna if needs must
full backs should be zabba and clichy, keeper is anyone's guess??
offensively we should be ok which ever way pep goes even with sane and gundogan's injuries

How the fuck has Sane got injured? Stuff like this really pisses me off. he hasn't even kicked a fucking ball for us and he's got a "serious" Hamstring injury. I hope it isn't that bad.

Does anyone else get the feeling that the Universe just doesn't like us?

If we don't know what to expect on Sat you can bet Sunderland fucking dont!
Which I suspect, is just as Mr Guardiola planned.
Yes the Arsenal game re personnel was i)unusual ii)alarming iii)strange but are we really surprised? Its not like Pep hasn't got previous for personnel positional changes.
Ask me again after the Sunderland game if I think it's all going to plan!!
