Hopefully everyone will be back and we'll secure our first title of the season.Although Sunderland have proved to be quite difficult to beat for us (especially when we're playing away) and we all know what happened last year when we were the favourites to win...
Didn't we beat them in Hong Kong (or somewhere in Asia) in the pre-season? If so, then we can beat them 'away'.

Anyone listen to Blue Tuesday on Gmr last night? As it was announced on there that some fans are trying to organise a Minute/Round of Applause 4 minutes after kick off in Remembrance of Mike Doyle as it was his Shirt number and the last City Captain to lift the League Cup in 76,

so any fan going to Wembley please pass this on to those who hadnt heard the program or wasnt born in 76, get involved, to a fitting Tribute to a City Legend and hated all things Red.....

27th July 2013.
Edin Dzeko’s superb half-volley secured a first piece of silverware of the season for Manuel Pellegrini as City beat Sunderland 1-0 in the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy 2013.

Dzeko also missed a 65th-minute penalty with a shot that could have cleared one or two of the local skyscrapers, but fortunately it didn’t prove too costly.

In a controlled and solid performance, the Blues showed glimpses of what may be to come in the coming months by looking stoic at the back, inventive and busy in midfield and a constant threat up front.

Have a great weekend to all you lot attending, or staying back in Manchester to watch it. There will be a lump in my throat, and something in my eye as my team walks out alongside yours in a cup final.
The atmosphere will be carnivalesque and family friendly, 22 years since we have been there, and it will be enjoyed whatever the result.
Always had a soft spot for City, from wanting you to win the 1981 cup final, to the superb treatment we got on the last day of 1991.
I ask just one thing, feel free to win, but if possible, could you avoid humiliating us....,,

Have a great and safe journey, maybe see you in the FA Cup

It would be impossible to embarrass you at this point, you've just dumped Chelsea and United out of the cup for a Wembley appearance. :)

For the love of god I hope Manuel doesn't play Yaya in a two man midfield, he's far too restricted in that position. I'd like to see the midfield shape up like this:

Milner Fernandinho
Silva Yaya Nasri
Aguero

Bring Garcia on later in the match to sure things up a bit.

So it doesn't look like the Capital One Cup vs Sunderland will be shown on any tv channels in the United States. How does everyone plan to watch it in the states? I can't believe out of all the tv channels available to us, it will not be televised for our viewing pleasure.

I was pretty impressed with Fernandinho's 90 mins v Barcelona in his first game back from injury, has he been injured again since?
Dinho and Garcia in the middle with Yaya pushed up further for me, need a bit of power in attacking midfield for this one.

I'd agree with that with our strikers mis-firing - but MP will know best.

Fernandinho is as important to the way we play as Aguero is IMO. He presses the ball and closes the opposition quickly. If he doesn't play your left with Yaya and Garcia in midfield which will ensure the game is played at snails pace.

He doesn't need match fitness, he's a naturally fit footballer and played 90 minutes against Barca, I think the 60 minutes he played against Stoke was planned and all with the final in mind.

If he doesn't start id be astonished.

You don't seem to be reading, I'll repeat again, I do think he's a great player and played brilliantly before his injury, but those 90 minutes against barcelona wasn't nowhere near his standarts, so I suppose players who are at the best form at the moment should start, and Garcia is in the better form right now.

Ofcourse he may still come on top but I would keep him as a potential atacking option on the bench.
