City v Swans post match thread

It's not moaning for fucks sake. It's pointing out where we think there might have been problems, which there were a few.
Happy clappers are a fucking waste of time on a discussion board.

The delusion cult of Rawk springs to mind.

This threadbare nonsense is bollocks.
No its not, not at all, I posted why, so has PB.

As for the injuries, its just piss poor luck imho. We get one back, and we lose another, we've basically had the majority of the spine of our team, either out, just back, or knackered, due to over playing because of combined injuries, since the end of September, and the manager is managing it as best he can.

We were shit today, but we've taken three points, at the end of the day that is all that matters, the three points. We now have a decent break, so hopefully we can get a few key players back.

All the 'experts' on here can pick a hundred formations, a hundred different line ups, but they haven't the knowledge of who is 100/90/80/70/60 % fit, the medical team and the manager do, so let them get on with their jobs.

why are we threadbare? why do we have so many injuries? why can't our fitness team keep our players fit? Why are long-standing niggly injuries not sorted? Why does our manager not set us up in such a way that we play with a verve and have games won comfortably without expending as much effort, thus keeping our players fresher? Why hasn't the manager blooded youngsters in easier games so they're more ready to take on a role today?

This threadbare nonsense is bollocks. Poor squad management/insufficient acquisitions, inadequate training, match prep and fitness/medical treatment and inadequate promotion of youth are to blame. It's not an excuse, because it's largely his fault. If he and his staff did their jobs properly we'd have a mostly fit squad with bedded in youngsters and be on top of our game and had it wrapped up by half-time like we do at our best. The players are "knackered" because Pellegrini and his bunch are inadequate. Don't point to United or Arsenal because their ludicrous transfer policies have seen to their failings.

If you compare the English teams playing in the CL, all of them have injury problems now. Silva and Aguero's main injuries have been suffered on international duty, as have Delph's. Fatigue makes players more vulnerable to injury.

Delph. It's funny how he's suddenly become so important...

Rather sums up the state of things if people are relying on him.

their jobs which seem to involve preparing our squad to play a tedious brand of ineffective, tiring football and not getting players back to full fitness and keeping them there, thus meaning we have a depleted squad and team which they then complain about? Yeah, DEFINITELY let them get on with their jobs, since they're doing them so well.

I left the game today wondering why did I bother making a 190 mile found trip through driving rain to watch a clueless manager revert to 4-2-3-1 and a team play with lethergy. Thanks to Joe we got away with it but honestly Pellers, every fecker is going to flood midfield and if you are not going to deal with it then like Hughes you are clueless and need to be given the push the sooner the better.

The really annoying thing is you played 3 in central midfield against Sevilla and MB so you know how to sort it.

You're being over critical, and that's me being nice, how do you plan on preventing injuries, I'd love to know, since you seem to be an expert on our training methods and medical team. The manager isn't whinging, he's telling you how it is, so try listening.

We have 9 days now to try and get some rest, and/or fitness into the squad, for the first time since the end of September, with no games and no stupid internationals.

Soooo much better when kompany and aguero are back. It's like we go up 5/6 gears when them too are playing. Thought yaya was motm. Navas got a lot of stick today from where I was sat but I thought he did well. Didn't do to much attacking wise, apart from his assist but I thought he was excellent defensively. Always gets back and it goes unnoticed imo.

Navas never stops running. Great to see plus he got a raw deal from the ref again today. If anyone deserves a goal soon its him.

Maybe I'm a happy clapper but I just like to think positively especially about City.
We are not perfect, I'm sure even history's best teams made mistakes and could be awful at times. I can't complain today as I always expect Premier League games to be tough. Hart played very well and I'm perfectly fine with that. Unfortunately I also accept that we concede more chances/goals without Kompany. Thought we played quite well though. Passing wasn't too slow or backwards. We were pretty happy with 1-0 and it took them 'til the 90th minute to equalize. My head certainly went down then, at least he didn't do that damn celebration. We had 4 minutes to rescue it and we did so in 2. Can't feel anything other than joy/relief after that.
We were simply cut open one too many times but we got away with it. Jesús, David, Fabian and Fernandinho all very good I thought. Yaya motm for me. Big slide tackle at one point after we didn't get a decision, some great passes, forward runs and he made the winning goal.
Happy that Bony got one, still pleasantly surprised when we score from a corner. Nice to see Kelechi being credited the winner; as others have said that's his 2nd! I'm honestly not worried about anyone at the moment. We're in a great position in all competitions and if/when we get everyone fit at the same time it's only gonna get better.

Your no happy clapper....just normal. Great to read...thanks.

You have been on Bluemoon before haven't you? You have read the threads on here haven't you? Happiness is rubbishing all the players, sacking the manager and making sure that the fans are slated as well. You really do have to keep up prestonibbo_mcfc! ;-)

I doubt anyone is happy when they're rubbishing the players, Eccles. We can only react to the game we've just watched and whilst 3 points and top of the league is ultimately a good thing, having concerns about our performances is very much warranted.
I'm sure most people would rather be posting positives after a great win when everyone played a blinder - alas that's not quite been the case in the last month or so.

Whoooooosh. Irony overload? Please note the ;-)
