As an arsenal fan i find this pretty beleivable. We would sell at the right price and city will give us that.Adebayor's physically taylor made for the EPL.His finishing is a bit suspect and his workrate has gone down since his 80 k a week contract but the thing is i beleive unlike wenger hughes can sort out that laziness. And if he can do that he is worth every penny because he has the attributes to trouble any defender. He's tall, strong and fast. You will in all likelihood pay more as he comes from an EPL rival than in the case of eto'o but adebayor is 25.

cheers gooner, would 25m be enough ?.

Most fans would be happy with 25M and i'd think somewhere between that and 30M.The reason for that is that city are a english rival club and you are loaded (no offence).Maybe it could be the right change for him and the club might want a change as well. With regards to some other posts we are not broke exactly but we do need the money.Wenger is not opposed to dealing with other english clubs even rivals like chelsea ( he even said something along the lines of that this summer)as compared to other managers.Frankly it could be a great deal for both parties.

Wouldn't mind paying a City tax with Arsenal as Wenger wouldn't spend it anyway :-)

Contrary to popular belief, Arsene does not have much money to spend, plus he is a spendthrift. There's no way I can see him turning down an offer of 25 million pounds if the player says he wants to come...

Do you think this is a genuine offer for Abebayor, or are City playing mind games with Mr Eto'o?

Well, the thing is, it's a win win situation. I imagine they've moved on Adebayor, and it could be sorted in the next five days. In theory that gives Eto'o a week to find a solution he's happy with with Barca, and vice versa.

And they both know City will now want a better deal than the one they withdrew on Friday...everyone's cards are on the table with Eto'o...

Not strictly to do with this thread by the looks at it, was checking the Adebayor odds on oddschecker and come across Jo specials.... 6/4 to score against man city... would be pretty impressive due to loan players not being able to play against parent club!!

On the Adebayor rumour, bit mixed feelings on this one, Think this bloke is bit too similar to RSC in my eyes, Eto'o was different as due to be a contrasting type of forward to what we already have. I think the willingness that Arsenal fans are showing to him leaving seems to be a worry as it suggests he wouldn't really be that conmmitted when on the pitch, he has stated before he would prefer to play for AC
