City v United Beijing friendly pre match - CANCELLED

Rags will win, media will proclaim them the second coming of the Busby babes (again), never seen a United team like it, the power, the pace, the passion. Mourinho completely washed of his past demons. He's a new man, fire in his belly, Ferguson reincarnate. Rooney is looking trimmer than ever, for the 8th pre-season on the bounce, golden boot awaits the white Pele..

Then we'll win the league.
pretty much how i see it.

Is it me or did Serge gain a pound?

I thought the same but if it means he had a proper break then good luck to him. He's a fit lad and will run it off in a couple of weeks.
Pep will bring the very best out of Sergio this year, I'm sure of it.

We lost the preseason charity shield to them and Rooney called it a "proper footballing lesson." It was actually a precursor to the 6-1 thrashing at Old Trafford and our 2012 championship.

I've been living in Beijing for the last 2 years. To answer some of the questions, we're definitely 7 hours ahead of UK time, which means KO at 12:30PM UK time. It was rainy as f*** on wednesday. Thursday and Friday have not been bad and there is no groundwater around the city so we should be ok, although there are storms predicted over the next 2 days. They are usually short downpours for a few hours and drain quick, the one on wednesday was a bit of a freak storm. Also I've blagged tickets for the training session on sunday morning (think it's like 3AM UK time) so will give yous a heads up of what we look like although it will probably be a big autograph exercise for the most part

Getting the train to Beijing later today, we arrive around 5pm. I'll probably take a look in Paddy's tonight and end up in one of the Blue Frogs.
The forecast according to the Weather underground is for thunderstorms all day Monday. I was there in 2012 for the game v l'arse, there was a thunderstorm and it pissed down, so looks like the Manchester weather will be with us once again.

I don't know where to go to pick up the tickets yet, something to figure out later on.

Thanks for reminding us. They were clearly worried then and how right their worries turned out to be!
