City v United FA Cup Post Match Discussion Thread (merged)

Not read all thread sorry.

I've never been so proud in defeat. 10 against 12 for more than eighty minutes and still only a miss away.

Foy you are a cretin but that's for another day. Then again why is family shagger and Franz Jones allowed to kick people wearing blue?

would be nice if he did, would be much more likely of reducing the ban, but I doubt he'd come and say
that, afterall he wouldnt want to upset Wooney, watched the replays time and time again, he wasn't even going to blow up until shrek came running over arms

Spot on..... saw the reply over and over..... Nani saw no problem with it, he gets up and tries to win the ball back.... the linesman saw no wrong and kept his flag down..... Kompany gets up and runs with the ball.... Rooney flaps his arms in front of the ref and the whistle blows and a red card brandished......

It's however many hours afterwards now and I'm still fuming...

I could probably live with it if Nani had done a triple salco and gone down like he'd been shot by a sniper but the fact that he didn't even think it was a foul tells you all you need to know.

47,000 people didn't think it was a foul, shrek did... wasn't made aware players were now reffing matches! but its over now, all we can hope for is the ban goes away, which although isnt likely im sure city will make the right decision! very proud to be a blue there today at the end (block 122) first time in a long while that everyone has stayed and clapped the team off.

I learnt one thing today, if Phil Jones is the new Duncan Edwards then Duncan Edwards must have been fucking shit,

More like a cross between Duncan Norvelle and Eddie Edwards.

He isn't even that good.

I knew he was vastly over rated but today he was shockingly poor. In some respect I'm a bit peeved we didn't steam roll them, 10 men or not, considering how shit this big camp lump of lard is.

Otherwise, we did ourselves proud, bullshit red card, at HT I feared the worst but we came out fighting and that's all you can ask really.

It'll be interesting to see who they bring out of retirement for the next derby though, my moneys on Clayton Blackmore.

I'll go for Paul McGrath.

i tought FA said before the season started that they would be penalize players that surround the ref. shrek can do whatever he fucking wants.

shocking ref today

If that was the case then we would have problems because he had 5 of ours surrounding him when he didnt give the penalty.

that was a stone wall penalty. the red card was never a red card so you cant compare those two. nobody surrounded the ref when Sergio got hit in the face by that lying bastard evra.

bit of semantics to throw into the mixer. VK did not tackle Nani, because nani did not have the ball, it was there to be won, therefore the rules regarding tackling do not apply. Jumping at someone who is in control of the ball is what the rule was intended to eradicate,i.e the shawcross tackle. The fact that we have this thread means the rule is not being interpreted consistently even by the same ref in the same game,

Good point but you've put it in the wrong thread :)

So on that basis Nani should have been sent off for jumping in with 2 feet not Vinnie. bellbuzzer to run the FA thats what I say
