I didn't see any of this outrage when Nolito was sent off for something even more innocuous earlier in the season.
Regardless of how much contact, if the rule says you can't put your head against another players head or you risk a red card then there can be no complaints.
Fuck him the dirty ****.

I'm not expressing outrage. Why should I?

My original point was that Aguero seemed to be looking for it and Fellaini ( who has a lot of previous) duly obliged.

It was hardly a Duncan Mackenzie special, but contact is contact.

It's got a lot to do with our style of football, at times on Thursday there was literally not one player in the box & more times only one, who's fault is that ? Aguero coming deep or on the wing to get the ball isn't helping , a couple of times our players actually bumped into each other .

The players. I'm damn sure they aren't told not to get into the box; although they may be told to time their runs. Regardless, our style of play does not account for players missing the target so much.

I partly agree. The issue is the number of players getting into goal scoring positions. Sterling Silva Dr bruyne sane all have a part to play. Aguero coming deep is not the problem because in the majority of attacks he does arrive in the box . Would love to ask pep the reason for this. Mind you would also like to ask him why we cannot take a decent corner or why we need such a high defensive line when defending free kicks.

I'm still trying to figure out how the goal didn't stand i thought the ball had to be played forward to be offside and it looked to me like Aguero pulled it back.

There's a lot more I'd like to ask him

It's about time bogbrush got done again,he has got away with tons of violence this season,it was maybe only his hair that caught sergio but for once i condone him going down, the ref was right there so it was probably more the intent than the contact, cry me a river
Wow! - a Julie London fan........Regards.

The ball doesn't have to be played forward for a player to be offside. It is where the player is when the ball is played.

How many goals have we conceded from free kicks that we have defended with a high line?

Excuse me, Ric, but we've also had a cartload of bad decisions against us this season. I really don't remember a season quite like it. And I haven't been following United closely (it's bad for my health), but from what everybody who's been watching them says, they had – Rojo especially – astonishingly benign refs in the earlier part of the season.
Totally agree.

It was played forward, just, inches probably, but sadly the right call. Had it been at the other end I doubt the flag would have gone up, at least on the 'form' they have had this season.

It was bloody tight looked more back than forwards to me

The ball doesn't have to be played forward, it's whether Jesus was closer to the goal-line than the ball at the time it was played and sadly he was, just.

Always read the post match thread but rarely comment, but the negativity on here last night (and from the media) was unbelievable.

I came home from the game feeling elated. OK the result wasn't what we wanted or deserved but the performance was great. We comprehensively out classed them for the entire game. I accept all the points about an inability to break down the bus parking bastards and score are correct but we have to hope the manager sorts this out next year.

A boring game apparently. FFS. The atmosphere was electric and every City fan in there probably kicked every ball. I had there hearts in their mouths from start to finish. No such thing as a boring derby. Ever. If the neutrals and TV fans were bored they can fuck right off.

spot on.

I simply cannot see any logic in how the draw was a better result for United than us at this point in the season.

If anything, avoiding defeat practically guarantees our top 4 place and puts us in pole position for 3rd with our remaining fixtures.

Not only are 3 of our remaining 5 games at home, but 4 of the teams have nothing at all to play for. The perfect games at this stage of the season.

There is not a cat in hells chance they are finishing in the top 4 this season and I'd love it is Celta knocked them out the EL.

The negative one and his shite tactics don't deserve to be anywhere near the CL.
Correct mate,I said this on the night. They seem to have adopted this as their new saying to detract from an embarrassing performnce.

Spot on mate,I said exactly the same thing.I enjoyed every minute,as it was a complete outclassing even at 0-0.The boring thing is to try and detract from their embarrassment of a performance and if we'd have just got that bit of luck with the offside, which they get 99% of the time, would've been an amazing night. On top we did break them down enough to win,but poor finishing cost us again.
