Interesting point about scoring a lot of goals at home, any team we play on the knockout stages, get a goal away but we should go through with goals we are able to score at home.

Still winning without VK and Silva in the squad.

Interesting to note that we'll be playing PSG/Barca/Real/Atletico at home first

Real and Atletico are ones we really don't want to meet at this stage. Real have too many weapons and Atletico are seriously on the up , their whole team play for one another. Barca are more vulnerable than before with messi seemingly out of sorts. PSG can be beaten. There is no easy team but that's how I'll rank them

Well, we've done the job, we are through to the next round.
But we also took pleasure to expose all the weaknesses we were known for :
Bench players being overall B or C grade when compared to the starting XI
Dzeko ineffective to play the role of a versatile striker ( poor touch, clumsy movements, poor pace )
Definitive back four starters yet to be set ( would you have Lescott, Demichelis or Nastasic with Vinnie ? )

And last but not least, having Garcia in this team is in my humble opinion worse than playing at 10 vs 11,

So, let's send our reserve team in Munich and concentrate on closing those 6 points gap !

Many of the Blue-Mooners are pathetically depressing. I am not sure what Kolarov or Richards did wrong today. Nothing at all. Lescott was excellent up until the goal for 2-2 and DeMichellis had a solid first half yet when I checked the in-match thread, people were crying about Kolarov, Richards, Lescott and DeMichellis.

Again, nothing wrong with Kolarov or Richards. DeMichellis had a poor second half and Lescott made one error at 2-2.

p.s. You can't really blame defense for the mobility and forward-minded nature of Plzen. This was allowed by our midfield and our overall setup to outscore the opposition. It is just part of our game. Playing Yaya and Fernandinho together may have slowed Plzen down a bit, but they still would have created their chances.

What is the word on Sergio? Also, is Jovetic still injured?

Pellers said in his presser Jovetic is 7-10 days away from starting and Stu Brennan tweeted Agüero was scheduled to come off at HT and is okay.

I am so effing tired of looking at Dzeko, his first touch is getting worse and worse for every game..
First touch, dribbling, passing , all were very poor. It's been going on for a few games now. Everytime he lost the ball today it went straight down the other end, causing problems for Hart. Is it because he tries too hard? Or that he doesn't?
And Then he scores a good goal and everyone quietens down...till the next game.
Not celebrating his goal just to prove a point does not help his case with the manager..

Anyway, Game was like a roller coaster. Glad we managed to win though :)

Has dzeko stopped tripping up over his bottom lip yet??
Cheer the fuck up man, body language absolutely awful, trudging around feeling sorry for himself..
Interesting performance, garcia obviously bought for his looks and not ability, milner came in and did his usual graft and yet more goals...
A wins a win and players got game time...
Bring on the swans..
